Hopewell Crime for June 16

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Agrravated: At 4:15 p.m. June 7, police responded to the 2100 block of Lynchburg Street for a reported assault. Juvenile was shot by a BB pellet by another juvenile.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 2:04 a.m. June 8, police responded to the 200 block of S. 15th Avenue in reference to shots fired. Victim was shot in the leg by unknown offender.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 3 a.m. June 8, police responded to the 200 block of W. Poythress Street for reported shots fired. Several shots were fired into a residence by two known offenders. No injuries.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 12 a.m. June 8, police responded to the 1100 block of Pierce Street for an information report. Unknown offenders threw rocks at a vehicle while driving in the 1100 block of Winston Churchill Drive.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 9:35 a.m. June 8, police responded to the 3500 block of Gilbert Street for a reported assault. While known offender assaulted a victim, a citizen stepped in to break it up, the citizen and offender then fought and both were arrested.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 12:19 p.m. June 9, police were dispatched to the 100 block of S. 16th Avenue for a reported aggravated assault. Known offender possibly assaulted victim with baseball bat.

- Assault-Aggravated/Domestic: At 8:16 p.m. June 7, police responded to the 1500 block of Roanoke Avenue in reference to a disturbance. Known offender assaulted victim by pushing out of vehicle and dragging and was arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Outbuilding/Garage: At 11 p.m. June 7, police responded to the 500 block of North Avenue for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered shed by breaking lock and stole lawn equipment, dirt bike, power washer and tools.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Outbuilding/Garage: At 8:10 p.m. June 4, police responded to the 600 block of Atwater Road for a reported suspicious circumstance. Unknown offender entered shed and stole fishing equipment.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Outbuilding/Garage: At 12 p.m. June 7, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny in the 3200 block of Belmont Ave. Unknown offender entered garage by breaking window and stole generator and lawn mower.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 11:03 p.m. June 3, police responded to the 2600 block of Johnson Street for a reported burglary. Unknown armed, masked offenders forced entry to residence and fled when police were called. Nothing stolen.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 6:30 p.m. June 4, police responded to the 2700 block of Poplar Street for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by forcing rear door and stole TVs, DVDs and cash.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 10:09 p.m. June 4, police responded to the 1300 block of Meadow Street for an alarm activation. Three offenders entered residence via broken window. Nothing stolen. Petitions pending.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 11 p.m. June 8, police responded to the 3300 block of St. Charles Street for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by breaking rear door window and fled when the resident was awoken. Nothing stolen.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 6:30 p.m. June 8, police responded to the 200 block of S. 17th Avenue regarding a burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by kicking front door and stole laptop.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 8:30 a.m. June 8, police responded to the 1100 block of Roanoke Avenue for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by breaking rear window. Nothing stolen.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 8:30 a.m. June 8, police responded to the 1500 block of Liberty Avenue for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by kicking front door and stole laptops, handgun, jewelry and miscellaneous items.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 5:19 a.m. June 6, police responded to the 1200 block of Stewart Avenue for a reported disturbance. Known offender was found to be in possession of narcotics. Petitions pending.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 1:48 a.m. June 9, police responded to Ashland Avenue and Woodlawn Street in reference to a vehicle accident. Passenger from one of the vehicles was found to be in possession of narcotics.

- Larceny-Pocket Picking: At 4:39 p.m. June 7, police responded to the 2800 block of W. Broadway for a reported larceny. Unknown offender picked a citizens pocket, stealing a wallet.

- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 12 a.m. June 4, police responded to the 4100 block of Oaklawn Boulevard regarding a larceny. Unknown offender stole catalytic converters from vehicles in parking lot.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 3:30 p.m. June 3, police responded to the 3600 block of Virginia Street for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole two ladders from behind dumpster.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 1 p.m. June 3, police responded to the 3300 block of Trenton Street for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole unsecured bicycle from next to residence.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 6:30 police responded to the 3400 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole weight bench from rear yard.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 7 p.m. June 3, police responded to the 1500 block of Pipe Square Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole I-Pod from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 1 a.m. June 8, police responded to the 1000 block of Atlantic Street for a reported larceny. Known offender stole prescription medication from residence and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12 a.m. June 3, police responded to the headquarters for a reported vandalism that occurred in the 3100 block of Oaklawn Boulevard. Unknown offender scratched vehicle with unknown object.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12:34 a.m. June 4, police responded to the 3900 block of Bolling Drive for a reported burglary. Known offender damaged residential door and was later arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 5:05 p.m. June 5, police responded to the 2100 block of Cloverdale Avenue for a reported assault. Known offender assaulted victim and damaged vehicle by kicking. Warrants obtained.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 1:56 p.m. June 6, police responded tot he 700 block of Ashland Street for a reported vandalism. Known offender damaged a sign by driving into it and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 1:30 a.m. June 7, police responded to the 400 block of E. Cawson Street for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged vehicle by throwing object.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 11:24 p.m. June 7, police responded to the 600 block of Winston Churchill Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged vehicle by throwing object.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12 a.m. June 9, police responded to the 700 block of N. 7th Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender spray painted shed.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 7 a.m. June 6, police responded to the 2400 block of Danville Street for an information report. Unknown offender shot unoccupied vehicle.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 12:35 p.m. June 6, police responded to the 600 block of Davisville Court for a reported weapon offense. During argument, known offenders brandished firearms.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 11 a.m. June 7, police responded to the 1100 block of Dinwiddie Avenue for a reported weapons violation. Student brought a knife to school. Petitions pending.
