Man charged with larceny

An Owego man was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies on charges of petit larceny.

According to information from the sheriff's office, Jesse A. Blake, 18, was charged Nov. 29 with six counts of petit larceny after police said he stole packages and mail out of mailboxes on Route 34 and Fraley Road in Barton. Blake was issued tickets to appear in Barton Town Court.

Waverly man charged

A Waverly man was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies on a charge of criminal obstruction of breathing.

According to information from the sheriff's office, Shawn Foust, 29, was charged after he allegedly applied pressure to another male's neck, obstructing his breathing. Foust was issued tickets to appear in Barton Town Court at a later date.

Harassment charge

A Waverly man was recently charged with harassment by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies.

According to information from the sheriff's office, Joseph A. Wysocki, 76, allegedly engaged in a course of conduct that annoyed and alarmed a female subject. Police said Wysocki continued to engage in such conduct after being told by deputies to stop.

Wysocki was arraigned in Barton Town Court and released on his own recognizance. Wysocki will reappear in court at a later date.

Two charged with criminal mischief

State police at Towanda plan to charge two people with criminal mischief following a Dec. 2 incident in Ridgebury Township.

According to information from state police, a 59-year-old male and a 41-year-old female, whose names police did not provide, carved an obscene word into a screen door at a Centerville Road residence. The actors also broke three solar lamps, police said.

Two cited for harassment

State police recently cited two people for harassment following an altercation in Ridgebury Township.

According to information from state police at Towanda, Barry Joseph Fetterolf, 63, of Gillett, and Stephen Charles Fetterolf, 59, of Clayton, N.J., were cited following an incident Dec. 3 at a Krise Drive location. Police said the men were engaged in a verbal argument with an adult male when both struck the victim in the face with a closed fist.
