Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett has provided the following criminal court update:

Sentence ordered following guilty plea

John Worthington, 28, Towanda, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 100 days to 23 months, and a fine of $150.00, for the offense of Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance.

Philip Wood, 53, Troy, PA, was sentenced to County Intermediate Punishment for a term of 24 months with 62 days imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, six months on house arrest under electronic supervision, and the remainder of the term on probation. Wood was also ordered to pay a fine of $500.00 and he will be required to reimburse the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of $375.00 for money used to purchase a controlled substance during the event that led to his arrest; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months.

John F. Ames, 32, Sylvania, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from 12 months to 24 months for the offense of Obstruction of Administration of Law or Other Governmental Operation.

Joseph Light, 24, Canton, PA, was resentenced, following revocation of his original sentence of probation for violation of probation conditions, to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a total term of from eight months to 23 months, and a fines totaling $400.00, for the offenses of Receiving Stolen Property, Theft By Unlawful Taking, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Light was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1384.00 and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 6 months.

Lloyd Bailey, 28, Towanda, PA, was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from five months to 23 months, and fines totaling $2000.00, for two counts of the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Bailey will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for a total of 18 months.

Fred Place, 60, Towanda, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 72 hours to six months, and a fine of $1000.00, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months.

Dustin H. Poulton, 23, Middletown, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Retail Theft and was immediately sentenced to pay a fine of $300.00 and restitution in the amount of $100.00. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Poulton for the offense.

Ashley Bennett, 22, Canton, PA, was resentenced, following revocation of her original sentence of probation, to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 10 days to 12 months, and a fine of $150.00, for the offense of Theft By Unlawful Taking. Bennett was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $200.00.

Rosemary Johnson, 43, no permanent address, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from three months to 12 months, and a fine of $1500.00, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance. Johnson will also lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 18 months.

Jesse Briggs, 23, Gillett, PA, was sentenced to imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from 18 months to five years, and a fine of $1500.00, for the offenses of Statutory Sexual Assault, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Briggs will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months.

Christopher D.J. Evans, 18, Rome, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of 18 months, and a fine of $150.00, for the offense of Terroristic Threats.

Derek C. Matson, 26, Monroeton, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 90 days to 23 months, 29 days, probation for a term of two years, and fines totaling $2000.00, for the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. Matson will also his Pennsylvania driving privilege for a total term of 30 months.

Billie L. Deloach, 29, Rome, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Bath Salts) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Bath Salts), and was sentenced to probation for a total term of two years and a fine of $250.00. DeLoach was also ordered to reimburse the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania the amount of $395.00 for money used to purchase a controlled substance during the incident that led to her arrest. An Agent of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Deloach for the offense.

Wesley S. Selcer, 25, Wysox, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Carrying a Firearm w/o Concealment Permit and was sentenced to probation for a term of one year.

Officer Brian Wibirt of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Selcer for the offense.

Finding of guilt following criminal trial

Raymond Richlin, 28, Wysox, PA, was found guilty of the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Without a License, and Public Drunkenness after criminal bench trial before the Honourable Maureen T. Beirne of the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas. Richlin will be sentenced at a later date after preparation of a presentence investigation by the Bradford County Probation Department. Richlin was arrested for the offense by Trooper Matthew Grebeck of the Pennsylvania State Police.

Guilty plea entered

Daniel L. Rohde, 43, Elmira, NY, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Default in Required Appearance; he will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence investigation by the Bradford County Probation Department. Bradford County Chief Detective Gregory Hostettler arrested Rohde for the offense.

Mary Beth Frankenfield, 49, Albany Twp, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Endangering a Child; she will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Frankenfield for the offense.

Stephen P. Patel, 31, Wysox, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol; he will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Patel for the offense.

Billy W. Collum, 31, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol; he will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer John Hennessy of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Collum for the offense.

Leslie Gallagher, 42, Sayre, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, and Possession Controlled Substance; he will be sentenced on January 9, 2014. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Gallagher for the offenses.

Dana Martin, 35, Rome, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault; he will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Martin for the offense.

Matthew J. Jenner, 30, New Albany, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Simple Assault, False Imprisonment and Driving while Operating Privilege Suspended; he will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence investigation by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Michael Moser of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jenner for the offense.

Miranda M. Hamilton, 22, Sugar Run, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Possession of a Controlled Substance; she will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Hamilton for the offenses.

Thomas Shock, 37, Towanda, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness; he will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence investigation by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Shock for the offense.

Frederick Terrell, 42, Ulster, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Access Device Fraud, Theft By Unlawful Taking, and Criminal Trespass; he will be sentenced on January 9, 2014. Officer Denny Slater of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Terrell for the offenses.

Brian Carey, 32, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; he will be sentenced on January 9, 2014. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Carey for the offense.

Bruce E. Cox, 27, Canton, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the

Influence of Alcohol; he will be sentenced on January 16, 2014. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Cox for the offense.

Richard Rivera, 47, Athens, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest and Recklessly Endangering Another Person; he will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Rivera for the offense.

David C. Taylor, 34, Troy, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance(Marihuana); Taylor will be sentenced on January 16, 2014. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Taylor for the offense.

Marc A. Carbucci, 43, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault; he will be sentenced on January 16, 2014. Bradford County Chief Detective Kyle Wisel of the Bradford County District Attorney's Office arrested Carbucci for the offense.

Plea of Nolo Contendere entered

(A plea of Nolo Contendere has the same legal effect as a plea of guilty and may be accepted by the Court in cases in which the Defendant has no specific recollection of the facts of the case but acknowledges that he/she will be unable to overcome the evidence that would be presented against him/her at criminal trial)

Bradford Stroud, 37, Athens, PA, entered a plea of Nolo Contendere to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance; he will be sentenced on January 9, 2014. Agents of the Bradford County Drug and Narcotics Task Force arrested Stroud for the offense.

Placement in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program

Chad Kitchnefsky, 20, Tunkhannock, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance in May 2013 by Trooper Mark Sadowski of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Kitchnefsky will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Kitchnefsky must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 90 days.

Trey E. Dececchis, 21, Johnsonburg, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in May 2013 by Officer John Hennessy of the Towanda Borough Police Department, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on Probation, Dececchis will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Dececchis must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.
