Athens man charged

An Athens man was recently arrested by Sayre Borough police on a charge of criminal trespassing.

According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Curtis Michael Carnrike, 22, was also charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Police said Carnrike entered two houses on Stevenson Street house uninvited at about 9 p.m. Dec. 20 and sat on the front porch of a third house. Police believed Carnrike to be under the influence of alcohol and narcotics, according to police.

Carnrike was arraigned Dec. 21 and released from the Bradford County jail on non-monetary bail. Carnrike's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 31.

Man cited for underage drinking

State police at Towanda recently issued an underage drinking citation to a Sayre man.

According to information from state police, Jack A. Schultz, 18, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at about 12:42 a.m. Dec. 22 on Myers Road in Ridgebury Township. Police said Schultz was observed to be intoxicated and in possession of alcoholic beverages.

Police investigating theft

State police at Towanda are currently investigating a theft that occurred in Smithfield Township.

According to state police, an unknown actor or actors removed a dump trailer from a Milan Road property sometime between Dec. 13 and Dec. 16. The trailer was not secured, police said. No damage was done to the property, according to police.

Mountain bike found

State police at Towanda seek the owner of a mountain bike located in Ulster Township.

According to state police, a blue Mongoose mountain bike was found at about 12:15 p.m. Dec. 18 on Bridge Street. The owner may claim the bicycle at the state police barracks in Towanda or call (570) 265-2186.

Police seek info on stolen Jeep

State police are investigating the theft of a vehicle from an Ulster Township residence.

According to information from state police at Towanda, an unknown actor stole a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee from a Covered Bridge Road residence sometime on Nov. 16 or Nov. 17. The vehicle crashed on Sheshequin Road, just south of the Ulster Bridge, on Nov. 17, according to police.
