Woman accused of breaking into car
Amber Nichole Hoover, 19, of LeRaysville has been charged by state police with theft from a motor vehicle and criminal conspiracy relating to a Sept. 2 incident on Main Street in Rome Borough.
According to police, Hoover stole multiple items from parked vehicles throughout the borough estimated at approximately $820. Hoover told police that she also served as a lookout during some of the thefts for another unnamed suspect.
Hoover has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Feb. 11 at 1:15 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
Man found with drug paraphernalia
Nicholas Andre Buskirk, 31, of Ulster has been charged by state police with possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a Dec. 26 incident on North Orwell Road in Rome Township.
According to police, the paraphernalia was found while police were investigating the report of a shotgun wielding man who was threatening others. Buskirk possessed a metal grinder, glass pipe, white plastic pen tube, clear plastic pill pouch and a metal scraper, police said.
He has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Feb. 4 at 3:30 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
Man charged with furnishing alcohol to minor
Daniel Harbst, 23, of Monroeton has been charged by state police with furnishing alcohol to minors relating to a July 4 incident on Hinman Street in Monroeton.
According to police, a woman caught her 18-year-old son drinking beer who said Harbst purchased it for him.
Harbst has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Jan. 10 at 9:30 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
Canton resident accused of marijuana possession
Justin Michael Sharrow, 30, of Canton has been charged by state police for possessing a small amount of marijuana relating to a Nov. 30 incident on state Route 414 in Franklin Township.
According to police, Sharrow was pulled over for a traffic violation when police found the marijuana.
Indecent assault investigation
State police are investigating the report of an indecent assault on a 3-year-old boy in South Creek Township.
Police said the incident occured sometime between Nov. 29 and Dec. 1.
DUI charges
The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:
David Glenn Sands, 43, of Towanda, by state police, on Dec. 20, on U.S. Route 6 in Standing Stone Township.
Sands has also been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, failing to stay in his lane, speeding, careless driving and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
Police said Sands was found in possession of marijuana and a pipe with burnt marijuana residue inside. He also had a strong odor of alcohol on him, police said.
Sands refused to submit to a blood test at Memorial Hospital in Towanda.
He has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
William Clay Skidmore, 57, of Rome, by state police, on Dec. 15, at the intersection of state Route 187 and U.S. Route 6 in Wysox Township.
Skidmore has also been charged with having a brake light out and careless driving. At the time of his arrest, Skidmore's blood alcohol content was .12 percent, police said.
He has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
Mary R. White, 38, of New Albany, by Towanda Borough Police, on Nov. 28, at the intersection of State Street and Main Street in Towanda.
White has also been charged with illegal parking.
At the time of her arrest, White's blood alcohol content was .135 percent, police said.
She has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Jan. 15 at 9:15 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
Eric Anthony Dinelli, 30, of Towanda, by state police, on Sept. 29, on Railroad Street in Towanda Township.
Dinelli has also been charged with possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license, failing to stay in his lane, a stop sign violation and careless driving.
At the time of his arrest, Dinelli's blood alcohol content was .203 percent, police said.
He has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Jan. 15 at 9:45 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
Mark Alan Hoffa, 56, of Montrose, by Towanda Borough Police, on Nov. 22, at the intersection of Main Street and U.S. Route 6 in Towanda.
Hoffa has also been charged with driving on the wrong side of the road, failing to stay in his lane, failing to use a turn signal and careless driving.
At the time of his arrest, Hoffa's blood alcohol content was .178 percent, police said.
He has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Jan. 15 at 9:30 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
Police investigate hit-and-run
State police in Towanda are investigating a case of hit-and -run that occurred on Dec. 30 in Wyalusing Township along U.S. Route 6.
According to police, an unknown person drove off the roadway and struck metal art work located on the southern berm owned by Sanford and Son Antiques.
Police said approximately $2,500 worth of damage occured during the incident.
Two 18-year-olds injured in crash
State police said two 18-year-old females suffered minor injuries at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 29, during a one vehicle accident on state Route 187 in Windham Township.
According to police, Erica N. Sibley of Towanda was driving a 1996 Nissan Maxima when she lost control negotiating a right hand curve. Police said the vehicle began to spin and struck a utility pole.
Both Sibley and her passenger were transported by EMS for what police described as minor injuries. Both women were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
Police said Sibley was charged with failing to stay in her lane.
