Hopewell Crime for Jan. 26

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Aggravated/Domestic: At 9:26 p.m., Jan. 18, police responded to the 2300 block of Boston St. for a reported assault. Known offender assaulted the victim during argument with a hammer.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 7 a.m. Jan. 13, police responded to the an alarm call at the 1300 block of Pine Ave. Unknown offender entered residence by kicking front door and stole game console, games, DVDs and jewelry.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 6:35 p.m. Jan. 15, police responded to the 600 block of Cedar Level Road for a reported burglary. Two offenders attempted entry through a rear door, but were chased off by a resident.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 7:40 p.m. Jan. 15, police responded to the 1900 block of Sunnyside Ave. in reference to a burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by kicking the rear door and stole a safe, cash and IDs. The safe and IDs were later recovered.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 10:45 a.m. Jan. 17, police responded to the 4200 block of Cabin Creek Court in reference to a burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by breaking door glass and stole jewelry, a laptop and TV.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering: Residential: at 9 a.m. Jan. 17, police responded tot he 600 block of Atwater Road for a reported burglary. Known offenders entered residence and stole guns, game console, laptop and cash, two guns, game console and laptop later recovered. Petitions pending.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 6:30 p.m. Jan. 18, police responded to the 3900 block of Jamestown Drive for a reported burglary. Unknown offenders entered residence by kicking rear door and stole a laptop, clothing and jewelry.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 11:10 a.m. Jan. 19, police responded to the 2700 block of Western St. in regards to a burglary. Known offender entered residence via a window and stole clothing and a wallet. Petitions pending.

- Counterfeiting/Forgery: At 12 a.m. Jan. 14, police responded to the 300 block of N. 6th Ave. in regards to a fraud. Known offender passed a counterfeit check at a business and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 2:20 a.m. Jan. 17, police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Jackson St. and S. 20th Ave. Driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 2:09 p.m. Jan. 19, during a voluntary conversation with police, offender voluntarily surrendered marijuana and was arrested.

- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 9 p.m. Jan. 19, police were dispatched to the 800 block of City Point Road for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered vehicle by damaging door lock and stole a CD player, amp, speakers, GPS unit and wrench.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 9:30 p.m. Jan. 13, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 3400 block of Norton St. Known offender stole keys from residence.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 1 p.m. Jan. 15, police were called to the 700 block of N. 8th Ave. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole boat motor from a yard.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 5 p.m. Jan. 16, police responded to the 300 block of Appomattox St. for a reported larceny. Known offender stole from a bank account by fraudulently using an ATM card. Warrants obtained.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 10:27 a.m. Jan. 19, police responded to the 1000 block of Elm St. for a reported larceny. Known offenders stole food from business. Petitions spending.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 8 a.m. Jan. 17, police responded to the 2900 block of Winston Churchill Drive in reference to a reported burglary. Unknown offender stole appliances and water heater from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12 p.m. Jan. 19, police responded to the 300 block of Mansion Drive for a reported larceny. Known offender stole jewelry from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 12 a.m. Jan. 14, police responded to the 300 block of Sherwood Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole GPS unit from a vehicle by pushing in door lock.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 6:30 p.m. Jan. 16, police responded to the 100 block of Memorial St. for a reported larceny from auto. Unknown offender entered vehicle by pushing in door lock and stole amplifier.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 12 a.m. Jan. 19, police responded to the 2100 block of City Point Road for a reported larceny and vandalism. Unknown offender stole vehicle battery and spray painted the vehicle.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 2:53 p.m. Jan. 19, police responded to the 1000 block of Riverside Ave. for a reported larceny. Known offenders stole a fire extinguisher from a Boat. Petitions Pending.

- Motor Vehicle Theft/Stolen Auto: At 5:47 p.m. Jan. 13, police responded to the 200 block of S. 12th Ave. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole unattended, unlocked, running vehicle from outside of a residence.

- Robbery/Residence: At 4:05 a.m. Jan. 17, police responded to the 700 block of Stewart Ave. for a reported robbery. Three armed offenders forced entry to a residence, assaulted a resident, stole cash, cell phones, a tablet and jewelry from residents and fled.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12 a.m. Jan. 13, police responded to the 2500 block of Bluefield St. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender vandalized two mailboxes.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 8:28 p.m. Jan. 13, police responded to the 100 block of S. 8th Ave. in reference to shots fired. Unknown offender shot a BB gun and damaged the window to the residence.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 2:04 p.m. Jan. 15, police responded to the 100 block of Kippax Drive for a reported hit and run accident. Intoxicated driver hit a stopped vehicle, attempted to flee, hit another vehicle and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12:03 p.m. Jan. 16, police responded to the 900 block of Crossings Blvd. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender scratched a vehicle.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 6:20 p.m. Jan. 16, police responded tot he 2400 block of Norfolk St. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged residential siding.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 5 p.m. Jan. 18, police responded to the 300 block of Maryland Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged residential window.

- Vandalism/Graffiti: At 12 p.m. Jan. 14, police responded to the 3300 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender spray pained a commercial rear porch and a vehicle.
