No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 11:35 p.m. Feb. 21 on Route 414, one-half mile east of Dump Road, in Franklin Township, said state police at Towanda.
Police said Sarah Amber Lyon, 23, of Williamsport, who was not injured, was traveling east and lost control of her 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer after encountering an ice patch/black ice on the road. Her vehicle went off the south shoulder of the road, over a slight embankment, and struck several trees with its front-end area. Two passengers in her vehicle, Kenneth Darrell Skinner, 28, of Williamsport, and a 2-year-old Williamsport male, were in her vehicle and not injured.
According to police, a charge for a violation of "driving vehicle at safe speed" was filed against Lyon through District Court 42-3-03. The vehicle had disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department and Junior's Towing assisted at the scene.
