DUI charges
The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:
Joshua Daniel Pond, 27, of Sayre, by Athens Township police, on Feb. 26, at Pennsylvania Avenue and Bressler Street in Athens Township. Pond has also been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, failure to give information and render aid, failure to make immediate notice of an accident to police, failure to keep right and careless driving. A blood alcohol test revealed that Pond's blood alcohol content was .17 percent on the day of his arrest. Pond has been sent a summons to appear April 1 before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw for a preliminary hearing.
Mindy Marie Hobbie, 35, of Sayre, by Athens Borough police, on Feb. 23, on Susquehanna Street in Athens. Hobbie has also been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to keep right and failure to use required position and method of turning. A blood alcohol test revealed that Hobbie's blood alcohol content was .16 percent on the day of her arrest. Hobbie has been sent a summons to appear April 1 before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw for a preliminary hearing.
Unlicensed operation charge
A Waverly man was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
According to information from the sheriff's office, Keith D. Pond, 48, was also charged with failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to change address.
Police said Pond was charged following a vehicle stop on Ellis Creek Road in Barton. Pond was issued tickets to appear March 18 in Barton Town Court.
