Theft of leased property
Jason Ryan Ragan, 23, of Monroeton has been charged with theft of leased property relating to a Feb. 6 incident at Aarons Rent to Own in Wysox Township.
According to police, Ragan leased the laptop in May 2013 and then sold it in February without meeting the terms of his lease to own the TV.
Police said the TV was valued at $808.
Ragan was arraigned on March 17 before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton and released on $2,500 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear before Judge Wheaton on March 25 at 1:15 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
Workplace harassment
Frank L. Fee, 39, of Wysox has been charged with harassment relating to a Feb. 21 incident at Jeld-Wen in Wysox Township.
According to police, Fee verbally harassed a co-worker that administered a drug test that he failed leading to termination of his employment.
Police said after the incident, Fee took his harassment to Facebook and posted a message containing harsh language and threats publicly to the victim.
Fee has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on April 15 at 1:30 p.m. for a preliminary hearing.
Identity theft investigation
State police in Towanda are investigating the report of identity theft that occurred in Terry Township between March 8 and March 11.
An unknown person or persons used a male victim's personal information to make several purchases from an unknown location, police said.
Suspected DUI crash leaves one injured
Jenna Nicholas, 28, of Rome has been charged with DUI for her role in a single vehicle crash that happened on March 16 at 7:22 p.m. on Battlecreek Road in Rome Township.
According to police, Nicholas, the lone occupant in the vehicle, drove a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado into the eastern berm of the road before crossing both lanes of travel, striking a ditch and rolling the truck onto its side.
Nicholas suffered moderate injury during the crash, and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, police said.
Domestic dispute in Terry Twp.
Brian James Chilson, 32, of Wyalusing has been charged with harassment relating to a March 15 incident at a private residence on Spring Lake Road in Terry Township.
According to police, Chilson had an altercation with his girlfriend during which he punched and kicked the victim several times.
Police said charges have been filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton.
Cruelty to animals investigation
State police are currently involved in an active investigation of cruelty to animals relating to a property on the 34000 block of State Route 187 in Orwell Township.
Police were dispatched on March 3 after they received a report of neglected horses living on the property.

Juvenile harassment investigation
State police are investigating a report of harassment involving a 14-year-old male suspect and a 12-year-old male victim that occurred on Feb. 4 in Wilmot Township.
No further information was released by police.
Woman charged with drug dealing
A Troy woman accused of selling a controlled substance to an undercover police informant has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark.
According to information filed in Clark's office, Casey Lynne Shedden, 23, has been charged by state police with delivery of a controlled substance; and criminal use of a communication facility.
Shedden is accused of selling 20 tablets of Percocet to an undercover police informant in October at the Dandy Mini Mart on Main Street in Towanda.
Shedden was arraigned before Judge Clark, who ordered the defendant released on non-monetary bail.
Man charged with Megan's law violations
A Canton man was recently taken into custody by state police and charged with various violations of Megan's Law.
According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark, Jimmie Dean Person Jr., 29, has been charged with failure to comply with registration requirement; unsworn falsification to authorities; and obstructing administration of law or other government functions.
In February 2005, according to reports, Person was convicted in Bradford County Court of indecent assault. As a convicted sex offender, the report continued, Person is required by law to provide authorities with specific information concerning his whereabouts - such as his address - as well as his lifestyle - such as his email address, social networking sites; Internet message boards; etc.
State police reported receiving a tip on Feb. 3 via the Megan's Law Public Website, indicating that Person was communicating with a 16-year-old female via Facebook. Specifically, the tipster reported, Person was commenting on the juvenile's Facebook posting and photographs.
Subsequent investigation revealed that Person had been utilizing a Facebook account which he had failed to register with the authorities as required by Megan's Law, according to reports. When asked by the state police if he had a Facebook profile or any other Internet identification other than his Yahoo email address, Person said "no," state police reported.
Person was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton, who ordered the defendant incarcerated in lieu of $5,000 bail. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Judge Clark on March 26.
Man injured in crash
A Towanda man suffered moderate injuries when the car he was driving left the road and struck several trees.
According to state police, Kristopher A. Reeves, 29, was driving a 2001 Ford Escape north on Woodside Road in Towanda Township on March 15. Police said Reeves lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason, causing it to travel onto the south berm where it struck multiple trees. The car continued north, where it spun 180 degrees and overturned, before coming to rest facing south. Reeves walked to a private residence where he used a telephone to obtain a ride to Memorial Hospital.
Reeves was wearing his seatbelt when the accident occurred.
Two charged with drug possession
Two people have each been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark to answer charges related to the illegal possession of drugs.
According to information filed at Clark's office, Mark Kevin Schultz, 45, and Robbi Lynn White, 49, both of Monroeton, have each been charged with possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges against the two stem from an incident that occurred on Dec. 2, 2013 at a private residence in the Village of Franklindale, Franklin Township. Police said they obtained a warrant to search the premises as a result of the incident. The search yielded several items related to the use of illegal drugs, including a metal spoon with white residue, a capped needle and a syringe containing a liquid substance, a glass smoking device, and a silver metal smoking device.
Schultz and White are scheduled to appear before Judge Clark for their preliminary hearings on April 16.
Woman cited for drug paraphernalia
A Towanda woman was cited by state police recently on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to police, Jean Evelyn Lane, 40, was charged with the above offense on Dec. 17. Police said they were serving an arrest warrant on another individual at Lane's residence, when they observed drug paraphernalia on the premises. Police said they obtained permission from Lane to search her residence, and the search revealed six pipes of the type used to smoke illegal drugs.
Lane has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on April 16.
Man faces drug charges
A Towanda man was issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark to answer various drug-related charges.
According information filed at Clark's office, Steve Earl Reeves, 53, has been charged by state police with possession with intent to deliver marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and growing marijuana.
Police reported being contacted by two individuals in October, who said that Reeves had accused them of stealing his marijuana plants, and was threatening them as a result. Police said they arrived at Reeves' residence in Monroe Township later in the day, where they discovered eight marijuana plants hanging upside down from a shower rack, along with a triple beam scale, as well as a checkbook box containing drug paraphernalia.
Reeves is scheduled to appear before Judge Clark for his preliminary hearing on April 23.
Pair charged in criminal trespass
Troy police said that during the evening hours of Feb. 22, officers of the Troy Police Department were dispatched to the Redington Avenue area in Troy for two unwanted persons.
Upon police arriving at the location, the two unwanted persons fled through the rear of the building. The two subjects were later identified as Mark R. VanHorn, 27, of Tioga, Pa., and Nicole L. Northrop, 26, of Columbia Cross Roads.
Charges for criminal trespass were filed and arrest warrants were obtained. On March 15, Pennsylvania State Police in Mansfield located the two during a traffic stop.
They were arraigned and committed to the Bradford County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail each, awaiting further court appearance.
Candor man arrested
A Candor, N.Y. man was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
According to information from the sheriff's office, David M. Irons Jr., 27, was also charged with having a rear plate lamp out following a vehicle stop for a March 15 equipment violation in the town of Barton.
Irons is scheduled to appear March 25 in Barton Town Court.
Man arrested for attempted drug delivery
A Sayre man was recently arrested by Athens Borough police on a charge of criminal attempt to deliver a controlled substance.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Jon C. Sisson, 23, was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said officers received information that Sisson, operating a black Chevrolet pickup truck, was traveling from Towanda to Athens at about 3:35 p.m. March 18 to deliver narcotics. Police observed the vehicle turning from Susquehanna Street onto South River Street and turned around to follow it when the truck stopped on South River Street and a male exited the vehicle, police said. Sisson told police that the male attempted to assault him with a knife, according to police.
While talking to Sisson, officers observed a container containing multiple prescription pills in the pickup truck, police said. The container was later found to hold 12 clonazepam, 30 diazepam, four gabapentin and one alprazolam pill.
Sisson was arraigned March 18 and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. Sisson's preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 25.
