Barton man charged with assault
A Barton, N.Y. man was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies on a charge of assault.
According to information from the sheriff's office, Frederick D. Bombacie, 57, is accused of punching a female victim in the eye during a June 3 domestic incident.
Bombacie was arraigned in Barton Town Court and released on his own recognizance. Bombacie is to reappear in court June 4.
Woman arrested on forgery charge
A Waverly woman was recently arrested by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies on a charge of forgery.
According to information from the sheriff's office, Angeleen M. Buiniskis, 30, was arrested on a warrant issued by the sheriff's department. Buiniskis was arraigned June 4 in Waverly village court, police said.
Assault charges filed
A Sayre man was recently arrested by borough police and charged with two counts of simple assault.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Leslie Michael Palumbo, 45, was also charged with two counts of harassment and one count of terroristic threats.
Police said Palumbo pushed a female victim during a June 3 argument at a Garden Street residence. Palumbo also pushed the victim during an argument that occurred the previous day, causing her to fall to the floor, police said. Palumbo also threatened to kill the victim, according to police.
Palumbo was arraigned June 4 and released from the Bradford County Jail on non-monetary bail, according to information filed in district court. Palumbo's preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 11.
Mailbox damaged
State police are investigating a report of criminal mischief which occurred sometime between 11 p.m. June 3 and 6 a.m. June 4 on the 4500 block of State Route 467 in Orwell Township.
According to police, a mailbox was damaged at the residence but nothing was taken from the property and no other damage was found.

Theft reported in Rome
State police are continuing to investigate a theft which occurred on the 700 block of Bliss Road in Rome Township between 10 p.m. May 30 and 5:30 p.m. May 31.
According to police, an unknown person removed a lawn ornament from the front of a property near the road. The victim stated that the ornament was a Hereford brown cow with a white face. No other property was taken and no damage was reported to any items on the property.

Child sexually assaulted
A 14-year-old female was allegedly the victim of sexual assault between the dates of Sept. 2006 and Nov. 2006 on Tree Farm Road in Wyalusing Township.
According to the police, the victim was approximately seven or eight years of age when she was touched in a sexual manner by someone known to her.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
