Hopewell Crime for March 23

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 4:50 a.m. March 2, police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Portsmouth St. and Cedar Level Road. Passenger was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 9:45 a.m. March 6, police responded to the 400 block of S. Mesa Drive for a reported drug violation. Known offender was found to be in possession of marijuana. Petitions pending.

- Indecent Exposure: At 4:36 p.m. March 9, police responded to the 200 block of N. 14th Ave. in reference to a disturbance. Known intoxicated offender exposed himself while urinating and was arrested for drunk in public.

- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 5 p.m. March 6, police responded to the 800 block of E. Broadway for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole license plates from vehicle.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 8 p.m. March 6, police responded to the 3900 block of Oaklawn Blvd. in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole prescription medication from unsecured vehicle.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 10 p.m. March 3, police responded to the 2400 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered shed by breaking door and stole hand and power tools.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12 a.m. March 5, police responded to the headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 500 block of Monroe St. Known offender stole power tool and was arrested.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 9 a.m. March 8, police were dispatched to the 1100 block of W. Broadway for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via unsecured door and stole knives, VHS tapes, a GPS unit, cash and stereo equipment.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 5:30 p.m. March 8, police were dispatched to the 700 block of W. Randolph Road in reference to a larceny. Known offender stole tablet computer and was arrested.

- Larceny-Theft From Coin-Operated Machine or Device: At 11 p.m. March 7, police responded to the 5200 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole cash from air machine.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 11:30 a.m. March 3, police responded to the 2400 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole tools from tuck.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 7:14 p.m. March 3, police responded to the 3300 block of Oaklawn Blvd. in regards to a larceny. Unknown offender stole license plates from vehicle.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 3:10 a.m. March 5, police responded to the 2400 block of Lee St. for a reported vandalism. Known offender scratched vehicle and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 10 p.m. March 5, police responded to the 1500 block of Piper Square for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged two vehicle windshields.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 7 a.m. March 5, police responded to the 300 block of S. 15th Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke door class with hammer.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 2 p.m. March 5, police responded to headquarters for a reported vandalism that occurred in the 1800 block of Owens Court. Known offender damaged vehicle door handle and was later arrested.

- Arson: At 1:42 a.m. March 11, police responded to the 100 block of S. 25th Ave. for a structure fire. Incident is under investigation by the fire marshall.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 1:45 a.m. March 11, police responded to the 600 block of S. 6th Ave. for a reported assault. Known offender hit victim with belt, causing cut and bruise. Petitions pending.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 7:21 p.m. March 15, police responded to the 700 block of S. 6th Ave. for a reported shooting. Known offender shot victim in abdomen and was later arrested.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 2:15 p.m. March 16, police responded to John Randolph Hospital for a shunt wound that was received from a shooting in the 3900 block of Oaklawn Blvd. Known offender shot victim in leg and fled.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Outbuilding;/Garage: At 12 p.m. March 13, police responded to the 200 block of N. 15th Ave. in regards to a burglary. Unknown offender entered shed by breaking lock and stole speaker and tool box.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 10:30 p.m. March 15, police responded to the 200 block of N. 21st Ave. for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via unsecured window and stole game systems and TVs.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 10:34 p.m. March 10, police responded to the 200 block of Winston Churchill Drive for shots fired. While investigating the shots fired, known offender was found to be in possession of narcotics and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 12:49 a.m. March 13, police conducted a traffic stop at Wise St. and High Ave. Driver was found to be in possession of illegal substances and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 4 a.m. March 15, police conducted a traffic stop at Pine St. and Oaklawn Blvd. Known offender was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 4 p.m. March 16, police were dispatched to the 300 block of Ramsey Ave. in regards to a larceny. Unknown offender stole both license plates from a vehicle.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 4 p.m. March 11, police responded to the 3600 block of Creekwood Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole unsecured bicycle from rear yard.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 1:19 p.m. March 12, police responded to the 3200 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole alcohol from business.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 11:51 p.m. March 11, police responded to the 2300 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole alcohol from business.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 5:50 p.m. March 14, police responded to the 3400 block of Courthouse Road for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole food from business.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 4 p.m. March 14, police responded to the 300 block of Allen Ave. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered unsecured garage and stole wagon, tool accessories.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 3:34 a.m. March 16, police responded to the 3500 block of Portsmouth St. for a reported disturbance. Known offender assaulted victim by hitting, stole cell phone and was arrested.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 6:30 p.m. March 11, police responded to the 3000 block of W. Grant St. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole wallet, vehicle registration, CDs, cash and handicapped placard from vehicle.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 12:01 a.m. March 13, police were dispatched to headquarters in reference to a larceny that occurred in the 900 block of City Point Road. Unknown offender stole vehicle license plates.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 6 p.m. March 14, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 3500 block of Cobblestone Ter. Unknown offender stole driver's license, checks, credit card and gift certificates from unlocked vehicle.

- Motor Vehicle Theft/Stolen Auto: At 5 p.m. March 10, police responded to the 5300 block of Woodlawn St. for a reported motor vehicle theft. Unknown offender stole vehicle from the lot of an auto repair shop by unknown means.

- Robbery/Individual: At 4 p.m. March 10, police responded to the 1900 block of Warren Ave. for a reported assault. Unknown offenders robbed victim of cash, cell phone, jeans and shoes at gun point, hit victim with gun and fled.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 3 a.m. March 13, police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Cloverdale Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke residential window with brick and deflated vehicle tires.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 10 a.m. March 13, police responded to the 400 block of S. Mesa Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke restroom light fixture.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 2 p.m. March 15, police responded to the 500 block of S. 22nd Ave. for a reported burglary. Unknown offender kicked in residential door. Nothing stolen.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 5:31 p.m. March 15, police responded to headquarters for a reported vandalism that occurred in the 400 block of W. Randolph Road. Known offenders kicked and beat vehicle, damaging it and were arrested.

- Weapon Law Offense: At 10:16 p.m. March 11, police responded to the area of Thomas Rolfe Court for shots fired. Known subjects were found in the area in proximity to a handgun.

- Weapon Law offenses: At 2 p.m. March 16, police responded to the 3900 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a weapons offense. Known offender was seen in possession of firearm while being a felon and was arrested.
