Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following people were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda, Pa.:

Chrystal Rivera, 26, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months and a fine of $150.00, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Rivera for the offense on Oct. 8, 2013.

Travis Kitchen, 41, Rome, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from two years to four years and a fine of $500.00. He will also lose his driver's license for six months for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony.

Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotic Unit arrested Kitchen following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

John Parker Jr., 31, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of one year and a fine of $500.00, he will also lose his driver's license for six months, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor.

Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Parker following investigation of an incident that occurred in West Burlington Township on Oct. 6, 2013.

Michael Hajduga, 46, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of one year and a fine of $250.00, for the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Trooper Christopher Stecik of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hajduga following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ridgebury Township in June 2013.

Jason Rockwell, 34, Troy, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from six months to 12 months and a fine of $1000.00 for the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Rockwell following investigation of an incident that occurred in Burlington Township.

Melinda Salsman, 27, Milan, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 10 days to six months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, and a resentencing on Delivery of a Controlled Substance to 15 days to 15 months, she was also ordered to pay restitution of $300 and a fine of $1300.00, she will also lose her driver's license for 18 months for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor and Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a Felony.

Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Salsman for the offense on Feb. 15, 2014.

Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Salsman following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Ryan Hunsinger, 20, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of two years and a fine of $500.00 for the offense of Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the second degree and Default in Required Appearance, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

Officer Nikki Hoffman of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Hunsinger for the offense on Nov. 17, 2013.

District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently pled guilty in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda, Pa.:

Raymond G Vanderpool, 54, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Vanderpool will be sentenced on June 12, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Vanderpool for the offense on Dec. 14, 2013.

Shannon Grimes, 26, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor and will be sentenced on June 12, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Trooper Steve Steransky of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Grimes following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough on Nov. 7, 2013.

Stanley Butler, 43, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Butler will be sentenced on May 22, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Trooper Mark Sadowski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Butler following investigation of an incident that occurred in Canton Township on March 31, 2013.

Bradford County District Attorney, Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following person(s) recently entered a plea on Nolo Contendere in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda, Pa.:

David Soprano, 51, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony.

Soprano will be sentenced on June 12, 2014, following preparation of a pre-sentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced.

Frederick will be sentenced on June 19, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Frederick following an investigation.

Bryon Bailey, 30, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor.

Bailey will be sentenced in June 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Trooper William McDermott of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bailey following an investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroe Township.

Bryon Bailey, 30, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Drug Possession, a felony.

Bailey will be sentenced in June 6, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Trooper Michael Adams of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bailey following an investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Andrew Kizals, 24, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Heroin, a misdemeanor.

Kizals will be sentenced on June 19, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Officer Nathan Ross of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Kizals for the offense in February.

Mandi King, 33, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

King will be sentenced on June 19, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Trooper Christopher Shellings of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested King following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Mary White, 39, New Albany, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor.

White will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Officer John Hennessey of the Towanda Borough Police arrested White for the offense in November.

Shawn Bunce, 34, Spencer, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Bunce will be sentenced on June 19, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Bunce for the offense in February.

Anson Salsman, 37, Meshoppen, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Salsman will be sentenced on June 19, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Officer Dale Bowen of the Northeast Police Department arrested Salsman for the offense in December.

James M. McDonald, 38, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor.

McDonald will be sentenced on June 12, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Mason K. Runyon, 18, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Thefts of two Vehicles, felonies of the third degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Runyon will be sentenced on June 16, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Officer Thomas Wilson of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Runyon for the offense in February.

Mason K. Runyon, 18, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Theft of a Vehicle, a felony of the third degree and Theft of a Vehicle, a felony of the second degree and Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor.

Runyon will be sentenced on June 16, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Officer Thomas Wilson of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Runyon for the offense in February.

Mason K. Runyon, 18, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Criminal Mischief and Retail Theft.

Runyon will be sentenced on June 16, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Runyon for the offense in January.

William Skidmore, 58, Rome, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Skidmore will be sentenced on June 16, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Jason Tripp, 34, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Criminal Trespass, a felony of the second degree and Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Tripp will be sentenced on June 19, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Irons will be sentenced on June 19, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Troy Van Dyke, 18, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Receiving Stolen Property, a felony of the third degree.

Joshua W. Vanderpool, 23, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Vanderpool will be sentenced on June 19, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department.

Victoria Trindle, 33, Columbia Crossroads, Pa., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor.

Trindle will be sentenced in 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced.

Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Trindle following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ridgebury Township.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following person(s) recently was convicted in a jury trial in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda, Pa.:

Toris S. Garner, 38, Towanda, Pa., was convicted of Aggravated Indecent Assault at a jury trial before Judge Maureen Beirne on April 23, 2014.

Garner will be sentenced in July or later. Garner remains in the Bradford County Correctional Facility. The court directed that a pre-sentence investigation be completed before sentencing. State law also mandates a report by the Sexual Offender Assessment Board before sentencing. The SOAB agency requires ninety days for report preparation.

The conviction is for a felony of the second degree. The jury also convicted on a count of Indecent Assault, a misdemeanor of the first degree. The jury did not convict on the five other counts.

Trooper Jeffrey Sredenschek of the Pennsylvania State Police charged Garner after the Nov. 26 incident. Garner admitted to the Trooper that he had falsely promised marijuana to lure an 18-year-old female to a remote location, but denied that the sex acts were forced or without consent.
