Hopewell Crime, April 27, 2014

Hopewell

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Aggravated: On April 16, at 4:34 p.m., police responded to the 3900 blk of Oaklawn Blvd in reference to shots fired. Unknown offender shot at victim, striking victim in the arm and breaking a business window.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Commercial: On April 20, at 1:58 a.m., police responded to the 300 blk of E Broadway for an alarm activation. Four offenders entered business by forcing door & stole tobacco products. Two offenders arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: On April 16, at 6:32 p.m., police responded to the 2900 blk of Belmont Ave for a reported burglary. Offenders entered residence by forcing rear door and stole laptop and tv, which were recovered.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: On April 14, at 11:18 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the area of S 13th Ave and lynchburg st. The driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: On April 17, at 3:30 a.m., Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of N 6th Ave and City Point Rd. The driver was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: On April 18, at 8:48 p.m., Police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of N 7th Ave and Dolin St. The driver was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: On April 18, at 11:41 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 blk of S 8th Ave. The driver was found to be in possession of illegal drugs and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: On April 19, at 12:50 a.m., police responded to the 2600 blk of Oaklawn Blvd for a reported intoxicated subject. Offender was found to be in possession of narcotics as well as intoxicated and was arrested.

- Kidnapping/Abduction: On April 17, at 11 p.m., police responded to the 400 blk of s 21st ave for a reported assault that occurred in the 100 blk of Booker St. Known offender assaulted victim with fists, blocked victim from leaving residence and was later arrested.

- Larceny/Theft Of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: On April 17, at 9 a.m., police responded to the area of Oaklawn Blvd and I-295 in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole a utility trailer containing a jackhammer.

- Larceny/Theft Of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: On April 18, at 4 p.m., Police responded to the 400 blk of S 21st Ave in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole license plates from vehicle.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: On April 18, at 2:52 p.m., police responded to the 300 blk of S 14th Ave for a reported larceny. Known offender stole cash from purse. Petitions pending.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: On April 19, at 6:55 p.m., Police responded to the 300 blk of E Broadway for a reported larceny. Known offender stole food from business. Charges pending.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: On April 14, at 6 p.m., police responded to the 2200 blk of Freeman St for a reported larceny. Unknown offenders entered a secured front porch by removing a window panel and stole two bicycles.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: On April 18, at 12:34 p.m., police responded to the 300 blk of S 14th Ave for a reported larceny. Known offender stole tablet computers & cash from residence. Computers recovered, charges pending.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: On April 19, at 10:34 a.m., police responded the 3300 blk of Carlisle Ave for a reported larceny. Known offender stole tennis shoes from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: On April 19, at 5:35 p.m., police responded to the 3000 blk of Belmont Ave for a reported larceny. Known offender stole bicycle, which was recovered. Charges pending.

-Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: On April 18, at 4 a.m., police responded to the 300 blk of N 8th Ave in regards to larceny. Unknown offender entered unlocked vehicle and stole tools, cd player and amp.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: On April 20, at 5 a.m., police responded to the 3200 blk of Portsmouth St for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered unlocked vehicle & stole shotgun, gps, hunting suit, fishing equipment & wallet.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: On April 14, at 5:31 a.m., police responded to the 700 blk of S 6th Ave for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke glass on two commercial doors with a rock.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: On April 16, at 9:19 p.m., Police responded to the 1200 blk of lynchburg st for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle window by throwing rock.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: On April 16, at 9:15 p.m., police responded to the 1200 blk of Lynchburg St for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke residential window by throwing rock.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: On April 17, at 9 p.m., police responded to the 300 blk of E Broadway for a reported vandalism. unknown offender broke commercial window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: On April 19, At 10:20 p.m., police responded to headquarters in regards to vandalism that occurred in the area of S Mesa Rd and River Rd. offender dented truck tail gate.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: On April 20, at 12 p.m., police responded to the 2300 blk of Arcadia Dr for a reported vandalism. unknown offender broke residential window.

- Vandalism/Graffiti: On April 19, at 2:20 p.m., police responded to the 3900 blk of Courthouse Rd for a reported vandalism. unknown offender marked sign with graffiti.

- Weapon Law Offenses: On April 19, at 9:58 p.m., police responded to the 2100 blk of Trenton St in regards to a large fight in progress. while on scene, an unknown offender discharged a firearm towards police, damaging a vehicle windshield.

- Weapon Law Offenses: On April 20, at 1:17 a.m., police responded to the 700 blk of E Poythress St in reference to shots fired. unknown offender shot into a residence, breaking a window.
