Boy injured in accident in Fox Twp.

A 12-year-old boy was injured in motorcycle accident that occurred recently in Fox Township, Sullivan County, police said.

The accident occurred at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, as Robin W. Knowlton of Mansfield was driving a 1994 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide south on state Route 154, police said.

A deer ran across the road, from east to west, and was struck and killed by the motorcycle, police said.

The motorcycle landed in a small drainage ditch off the west side of the roadway, state police at Laporte said.

A 12-year-old boy, who was a backseat passenger on the motorcycle, suffered a minor injury, police said.

Knowlton, 52, was not injured in the accident, which occurred 804 feet from state Route 4003, state police said.

Burglary occurs in Wysox Twp.

Someone entered a residence on Dogwood Lane in Wysox Township and stole a 24-year-old man's laptop computer, police said.

The burglary occurred sometime between 9:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. on May 9, state police at Towanda said.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact the state police at Towanda at (570) 265-2186 or call 1-800-4-PA-TIPS.

"Your name is not required, just your information," the state police wrote in a press release that they issued about the burglary. "Up to $2,000 cash reward if your information results in an arrest."

Dushore male faces drug charge

Twenty-year-old Robert Lloyd Yates IV of Dushore has been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use, police said.

The charge stems from a May 3 incident that occurred on James Street in North Towanda Township, approximately three-fourths of a mile east of U.S. Route 6, police said.

Towanda resident charged with identity theft

George Lynn Dunn, 30, of Towanda is accused of using a 35-year-old Rome woman's identity to open a DIRECTV account, without the Rome woman's authorization, police said.

As a result, Dunn was recently charged with the first-degree misdemeanor of identity theft, police said.

The crime occurred between Sept. 4, 2012 and March 21, 2013, state police at Towanda said.

Dunn must face the charge at a preliminary hearing on July 16 in Towanda District Court.

Woman charged with possession of a controlled substance in Franklin Twp.

Jennifer Jean Devine, 40, of Towanda has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, police said.

The charge stems from a Feb. 27 incident in which police found .71 grams of a schedule I drug in a room of a residence that Devine was staying at, which is located along state Route 414 in Franklin Township, police said.

State police identified the drug as Alpha-Pyrrolidinopentiophenone.

At the time, law enforcement employees were serving a bench warrant on Devine for failure to appear for her supervised bail program, state police said.

Devine must face the charge at a preliminary hearing today (June 11) before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark.

DUI

The following person was recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Christopher Donald Carr, 30, of Towanda, by the Towanda police, on May 13, on York Avenue in Towanda. A test showed that Carr had a blood alcohol content of .196 percent on the day of his arrest. The DUI charge stems from a motor vehicle accident that Carr was involved in. Carr also received several citations for fleeing the scene of the accident.
