The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 2:31 a.m., July 17, police responded to the 2600 block of Maple Street for a reported assaulted. Known offender forced entry to a residence, hit victim with handgun and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 1:35 a.m., July 15, police responded to the 5100 block of Plaza Drive for a reported suspicious vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 1: 29 a.m., July 16, police responded to the 200 block of Winston Churchill Drive in reference to a disturbance. Known offender was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 12:01 a.m., July 19, police responded to the 300 block of Bull Run Drive for a reported curfew violation. Known offender was found to be in possession of narcotics. Petitions pending.

- Larceny/Theft Of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 12 p.m., July 17, police responded to the 1000 block of E Broadway for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole license plate decals from vehicle.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 6:30 a.m., July 15, police responded to the 500 block of Prince George Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole television from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12:53 p.m., July 15, police responded to the 300 block of S Mesa Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole part of an ac unit from the exterior of a residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 10 p.m., July 17, police responded to the 900 block of Colonial Corner Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole purse containing cash, license and keys from vehicle with open windows.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 9:30 p.m., July 17, police responded to the 3100 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered vehicle by breaking window and stole change.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 12 a.m., July 20, police responded to the 1600 block of Liberty Ave nuefor a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered vehicle trunk and stole i-pod and purse.

- Stolen Property Offenses: At 8:45 p.m., July 18, police responded to the 300 block of N Main Street in reference to a possible stolen firearm. Subject was found to be in possession of stolen firearm, which was confiscated.

-Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 6 p.m., July 10, police responded to headquarters for a reported vandalism that occurred in the 300 block of S 20th Avenue. Unknown offender damaged vehicle hood and fender.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 7:02 p.m., July 20, police responded to the 1600 block of Liberty Avenue in reference to a parking violation. A large crowd had gathered and police observed known offender shoot into the crowd. Three vehicles and a building were hit, but no injuries were reported. Offender was arrested.
