District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported the following recent criminal case resolutions in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Sentenced

Donnell Winiauski, 22, Wellsboro, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 48 hours to six months; he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Winiauski following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Township on Jan. 22, 2014.

Mary Ann Mathews, 36, Elmira, N.Y., was sentenced to Probation for a term of six months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Mathews for the offense on Feb. 9, 2014.

John Fredrick, 49, Monroeton, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from 21 months to 84 months for the offense of Obstruction of Administration of Law, a misdemeanor of the second degree and Failure to Register (Sexual Offender), a felony of the second degree. Trooper Nathan Lewis and Trooper Miranda Musick both from the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Fredrick following investigation of incidents that occurred in Towanda Township.

Paul Arnold, 55, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to probation for a term of six months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Arnold for the offense on March 2, 2014.

Arthur Bidlack, 40, Barton, N.Y., was sentenced to Probation for a term of 12 months, for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and Retail Theft, a summary offense. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Bidlack for the offense on Feb. 13, 2014.

John O'Mara, 29, Sugar Run, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 72 hours to six months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested O'Mara following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Township.

Patti Jo Benjamin, 42, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of 36 months; she will also lose her driver's license for six months for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Felony. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Benjamin following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Jason Nogar, 32, of Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 60 days to six months; he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Matthew Knock of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Nogar following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Township.

Guilty Pleas

Justin Griffin, 24, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Griffin will be sentenced on Sept. 11, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Chief Doug Seeley of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Griffin for the offense on June 22, 2013.

Jordan Bardo, 25, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Bardo will be sentenced on Sept. 4, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Bardo for the offense on March 17, 2013.

Manuel Borrero, 20, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Involuntary Manslaughter, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Borrero will be sentenced on Sept. 4, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Richard Evans of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Borrero following investigation of an incident that occurred on April 21, 2013 in Ulster Township.

Ralph Lane, 50, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Lane will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Lane following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroeton Borough.

Gerald Brown, 65, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Brown will be sentenced on Sept. 4, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Brown for the offense on April 1, 2014.

Steve Reeves, 53, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Manufacture of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), a felony. Reeves will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Reeves following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroe Township.

Nicholas Malorzo, 25, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft by Deception, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Malorzo will be sentenced on Aug. 28, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Roger Clink of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Malorzo for the offense on Jan. 13, 2014.

Dustin Johnson, 28, Dushore, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Johnson will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Johnson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Tyrone Garnett, 22, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony. Garnett will be sentenced on Aug. 28, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Garnett following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Disposition (ARD) Program

Derek Hunsinger, 23, Sayre, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Hunsinger will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Hunsinger must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges on April 13, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Karri Crigger, 25, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Crigger will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Crigger must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and she will also lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges on April 6, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Tammy Jo Bailey, 46, Monroeton, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Bailey will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Bailey must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and she will also lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Trooper William McDermott of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bailey for the offense on April 19, 2014 in Monroe Township.

George Allen Jr., 37, Towanda, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Allen will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Allen must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges on March 22, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

David Bashore, 30, Sayre, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Bashore will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Bashore must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Jeremy Horton of the Sayre Borough Police Department filed the charges on March 4, 2014 for the offense in Sayre Borough.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following person recently was sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Brittney Ferraro, 24, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 60 days, followed by County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months, she will also lose her driver's license for six months for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Felony and Access Device Fraud, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Ferraro for the offense on Nov. 20, 2013.
