Hopewell Crime for Aug. 3

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 9:44 p.m. July 26, police responded to the 3500 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a possible wanted subject. Known offender in vehicle gave false information to police and fled, assaulting police with fists. Vehicle was found to be stolen with a stolen license plate and contained drug paraphernalia.

- Assault-Aggravated/Domestic: At 12:38 a.m. July 21, police responded to the 3400 block of Norton St. for a reported domestic disturbance. During argument, known offender fired gun inside of residence and was arrested. No injuries.

- Brandishing Firearm: At 10:30 a.m. July 23, police responded to the 500 block of N. 3rd Ave. for a reported brandishing incident. Known offender pointed a pistol at victim. No shots fired, no injuries.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Commercial: At 8:57 p.m. July 27, police were called to the 400 block of Hopewell St. for a reported burglary. Several unknown offenders entered business by breaking front door glass and stole laptop as well as discharging fire extinguisher. Laptop was recovered.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 5:12 p.m. July 21, police responded to the 2100 block of Gordon St. for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via open window and stole cash and prescription medication from safe.

- Drug Equipment Violations: At 7:14 p.m. July 27, police initiated a traffic stop in the 3900 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for failure to stop. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 3:18 p.m. July 21, police responded to the 3400 block of Norton St. in reference to found drugs. Known offender had discarded two bags of suspected marijuana in a residential yard.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 6:46 p.m. July 26, police initiated a traffic stop in the 700 block of E. Randolph Road for speeding. The driver was driving suspended and found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 10:30 p.m. July 21, police responded to the 600 block of Eppes St. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole bicycle from residential yard.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 7;45 a.m. July 22, police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Maple St. in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole lawn mower from residential driveway.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 3:30 p.m. July 24, police responded to the 300 block of Woodbine St. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole truck loading ramp from residential driveway.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 9 a.m. July 23, police responded to the 1500 block of Lincoln Place for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole a/c unit from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 9:04 p.m. July 23, police responded to the 300 block of Bull Run Drive for a reported larceny. Known juvenile offender stole cash from residence. Petitions pending.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 10:30 a.m. July 25, police responded to the 200 block of E. Cawson St. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole cash from purse in office.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12 p.m. July 27, police responded to the 3200 block of Granby St. in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender entered shed by prying lock and stole lawnmower, fishing equipment, toolbox and saw.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 5:20 a.m. July 22, police responded to the 700 block of Yellowstone Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered unlocked vehicle and stole wallet containing license, cash and debit card. Another unlocked vehicle was entered with nothing stolen.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 10 p.m. July 24, police responded to the 1000 block of High Ave. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered unlocked vehicle and stole cell phone, tablet and subwoofers.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 4:34 p.m. July 25, police responded to the 2700 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported larceny. Known offender stole cash from purse in vehicle and was arrested.

- Robbery/Individual: At 12:03 a.m. July 27, police responded to the 3300 block of Boston St. for a reported robbery. Unknown offenders robbed victim of cash, cigarettes and cell phone at gun point.

- Stolen Property Offenses: At 9:52 a.m. July 25, police responded to the 3400 block of Courthouse Road for an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle's inspection sticker was found to have been stolen from Powhatan County.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 6 p.m. July 21, police were dispatched to the 100 block of S. 9th Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle driver side window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 1:45 p.m. July 22, police responded to the 3900 block of Greystone Drive for a reported possible burglary. Investigation revealed a vandalism to the side garage door, but no entry made.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 6 p.m. July 24, police responded to the 500 block of E. Randolph Road for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle windows with BB gun.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 5:30 p.m. July 24, police responded to the 700 block of N. 10th Ave. for a reported vandalism. Known offenders damaged residential door by kicking. Petitions pending.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 2:30 a.m. July 26, police responded to the 4000 block of Williamsburg Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offenders scratched vehicle.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 6:05 p.m. July 26, police were checking businesses in the 600 block of City Point Road and discovered a vandalism. Unknown offender broke front door glass to business.
