Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported the following persons were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Raymond E. Vanderpool, 54, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility to 30 days, County Intermediate Punishment of 24 months; he will also lose his driver's license for 18 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Vanderpool for the offense on Dec. 14, 2013.

David Glenn Sands, 44, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility for 60 days, and County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months, he will also lose his driver's license for 18 months, and an additional license suspension of 18 months will be imposed for refusal to submit to testing when arrested for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree and Driving under suspension, a summary offense. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Sands following investigation of an incident that occurred in Standing Stone Township.

Trey Ellers, 31, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from seven days to 12 months for the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree.

Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Ellers for the offense on Feb. 28, 2014.

Kathy Jo Anthony, 43, Milan, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of 18 months for the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Denny Slater of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Anthony for the offense in February.

Renee Shattuck, 26, Canton, Pa., was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility of from five months to 12 months and a fine of $500, for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Shattuck had been sentenced to a fine and probation at an earlier date but probation was revoked.

Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Shattuck for the offense in 2013.

Matthew Williams, 34, Sayre, Pa., was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 45 days to 14 months for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, two counts of Simple Assault and Harassment. Williams had been sentenced to probation at an earlier date but probation was revoked for non compliance with probation conditions. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Williams for the offense on Nov. 11, 2013.

Seth Shaughnessy, 20, of Athens, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of 12 months; he will also lose his driver's license for six months for the offense of Possession (Small Amount of Marijuana) a misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, also a misdemeanor. Officer Robert Horton of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Shaughnessy for the offense on Feb. 16, 2014.

Nicholas Campbell, 30, Chemung, N.Y., was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from two months to 14 months for the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Campbell was sentenced to a fine and probation at an earlier date but probation was revoked.

Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Campbell following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ulster Township.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Raymond Woodcock, 28, Monroeton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Woodcock will be sentenced on July 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Woodcock following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroe Township.

Paul D. Ragan, 25, Monroeton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Ragan will be sentenced on Sept. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Ragan for the offense on March 9, 2014.

Steven Wheeler, 24, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Wheeler will be sentenced on Sept. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Wheeler for the offense on March 31, 2014.

Christopher McNeal, 28, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor.

McNeal will be sentenced on Sept. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested McNeal for the offense in March.

Robert C. Fansler Jr., 51, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Fansler will be sentenced on Sept. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper George Layou of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Fansler following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Township.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons were recently accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Skyler Grimes, 18, Wyalusing, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Grimes will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Grimes must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Trooper Anthony Stempien of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Grimes for the offense.

Ronald L. Elliott II, 45, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol-high rate of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Elliott will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department; which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Elliott must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges in February 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Danica Saxbury, 21, Towanda, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Controlled Substance and other Drug related changes, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Saxbury will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Saxbury must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and she will lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department filed the charges in April 2014 for the offense in Towanda Borough.

Eric Hinman, 38, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on Probation Hinman will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug and alcohol use. Additionally, Hinman must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Trooper Tyler Brackman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hinman for the offense.

Kevin Adams, 29, Canton, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Adams will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Adams must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania Driving privilege for 30 days. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department filed the charges on April 13, 2014 in Canton Borough.

Caleb Roy, 24, Towanda, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol-highest rate, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on Probation, Roy will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Roy must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges on April 5, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Josiah Lesser, 22, Sayre, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol-highest rate, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on Probation, Lesser will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Lesser must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Officer George Nichols of the Sayre Borough Police Department filed the charges on April 5, 2014 for the offense in Sayre Borough.

Dennis Randall, 32, Sayre, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol-highest rate, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on Probation, Randall will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Randall must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charged on April 20, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following person(s) recently entered a plea of Nolo Contendere in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Paul Ragan, 25, Monroeton, Pa., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Ragan will be sentenced on Sept. 5, 2014, following preparation of a pre-sentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Ragan for the offense on April 30, 2014.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following person(s) recently were sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Nicole Northrup, 26, Granville Summit, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, and restitution of $250, and probation for a term of 24 months, for the offense of Flight to Avoid Apprehension, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Quentin Reinford of the Troy Borough Police Department arrested Northrup for the offense on Feb. 22, 2014.

Summer Woll, 35, Wyalusing, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, and restitution of $750, and probation for a term of 24 months, for the offense of Access Device Fraud, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Woll for the offense on Jan. 23, 2014.

Billie Deloach, 40, of Rome, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of a sentence of Probation to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility from 104 days to 23 months, 29 days, fines, costs, restitution of $150.00 plus $395.00 buy money, for the offense of a Controlled Substance, a felony and Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Deloach following investigation of an incident that occurred in Sheshequin Township.

Elizabeth Bishop, 28, of Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility of 100 days, fine, costs, restitution of $1000, County Intermediate Punishment of 36 months, for the offense of Manufacture of Controlled Substance, a felony. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Bishop following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ulster Township.

Justin Hover, 20, Candor, N.Y., was sentenced to fines, costs, and restitution of $250, plus restitution of $3000.00 and probation for a term of 12 months, for the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hover for the offense on May 16, 2014.

Alicia Isbell, 31, LeRaysville, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, and restitution of $250, probation for a term of 24 months, for the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Sergeant Keith Stackhouse of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hover for the offense on April 11, 2014.

Brad Middaugh, 29, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility from five days to six months, fines, costs, and restitution of $1000, he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Middaugh following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

William Bruce, 22, of Troy, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of a sentence of Probation to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility from three months to 11 months, 29 days, fines, costs, restitution of $150.00, for the offense of a Possession of a Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Officer Floyd McDonald of the Troy Borough Police Department arrested Bruce for the offense on Feb. 7 2012.

Adam Johnson, 27, Monroeton, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, and restitution of $500, probation for a term of 12 months; he will also lose his driver's license for six months, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Johnson for the offense on April 18, 2014.

James Burlingame, 50, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, and restitution of $350, plus restitution of $50 and probation for a term of one year, for the offense of Theft by Deception, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Burlingame following investigation of an incident that occurred in Rome Borough.

Kyle Tice, 23, Troy, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility from 48 hours to six months, fines, costs, and restitution of $750, Probation for a term of two years; he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Michael Northup and Officer Quentin Reinford both of the Troy Borough Police Department arrested Tice for the offense on Nov. 6, 2013 and April 24, 2014.

Kyle Tice, 23, of Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offence of Theft, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Tice will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Quentin Reinford of the Troy Borough Police Department arrested Tice for the offense on April 24, 2014.

Brad Middaugh, 29, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Middaugh will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Middaugh following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Thomas Lee, 46, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Lee will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Quentin Reinford of the Troy Borough Police Department arrested Lee for the offense on May 3, 2014.

Linsey Bashore, 21, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Bashore will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bashore following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Francis Northrup, 57, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Northrup will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Northrup following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroe Township.

Anthony M. Fletcher, 22, Gillett, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Marijuana, a misdemeanor. Fletcher will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Fletcher for the offense in May.

Michael A. Karge, 64, Florida, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol. Karge will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Karge for the offense in 2008. Karge had been placed in the ARD program but failed to complete the program and ARD was revoked.

William Wallace, 21, Elmira, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, Recklessly Endangering and Simple Assault, all misdemeanors. Wallace will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police Department arrested Wallace following investigation of an incident that occurred in Burlington Borough.

John E. Gundaker, 44, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Fleeing and Eluding, a felony of the third degree. Gundaker will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Gundaker for the offense in April.

Paul Nuhfer Jr., 27, of Texas, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Resisting Arrest.

Nuhfer will be sentenced on Aug. 14, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Nuhfer in Sayre at the Lehigh Tavern in January 2013. Nuhfer had been placed in the diversionary ARD program but failed to complete the community service term and ARD was revoked. Nuhfer was arrested in Texas on July second and transported in custody back to Pennsylvania for trial.

Jessica Miller, 32, of Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a felony of the third degree. Miller will be sentenced on Sept. 29, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Jeffrey Sredenschek of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Miller following investigation of an embezzlement that occurred in North Towanda Township in 2012-2013 while Miller was a bank employee.

Fred A. Hopper, 40, Noxen, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Hopper will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hopper for the offense in February after an incident at Williams Toyota.

Fred A. Hopper, 40, Noxen, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Hopper will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Hopper for the offense in December after an incident at Williams Kia.

Jody Leo McDermott, 34, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. McDermott will be sentenced on Sept. 8, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested McDermott for the offense in February after an incident at Williams Toyota.

Jody Leo McDermott, 34, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the second degree. McDermott will be sentenced on Sept. 8, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested McDermott for the offense in December after an incident at Williams Kia.

Derrick Reico, 20, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Reico will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Reico for the offense in April.

Carlton Heasley, 33, Gillett, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Attempted Theft, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Heasley will be sentenced on Sept. 18, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Tyler Brackman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Heasley following investigation of an incident that occurred in Sheshequin Township.

Justin VanBuren, 20, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Criminal Trespass, a felony of the second degree and Criminal Mischief, a misdemeanor of the third degree. VanBuren will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested VanBuren for the offense in May.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently were accepted into the ARD Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Tiffany Floyd, 26, Owego, N.Y., charged with the offense of Retail Theft, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Floyd must perform 40 hours community service and pay restitution of $450. Officer Daniel Thomas of the Athens Township Police Department filed the charges on May 8, 2014 for the offense in Athens Township.

Carty Walker-Bert, 22, Sayre, Pa., charged with the offense of Corruption of Minors, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of six months. While on probation Walker-Bert must perform 40 hours community service and complete Parenting Classes. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Walker-Bert for the offense on April 21, 2014 in Burlington Township.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following person(s) recently entered a plea of Nolo Contendere in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Jason Hieatt, 35, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the third degree and Theft, also a misdemeanor of the third degree. Hieatt will be sentenced following preparation of a pre-sentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced. Trooper Peter Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hieatt following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy and Canton townships.

Bump will be sentenced following preparation of a pre-sentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Bump following investigation of an incident that occurred in West Burlington Township.
