Hopewell Crime for Aug. 17

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Commercial: At 4:01 a.m. Aug. 7, police responded to the 3700 block of Woodlawn St. for a reported attempted burglary. Unknown offender attempted to enter business by removing windows. No entry, nothing stolen.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: at 3:15 a.m. Aug. 4, police responded to the 2100 block of Hazelwood Drive for a reported disturbance. Known offenders entered residence by force, assaulted residents and were arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 6 p.m. Aug. 4, police responded to the 400 block of Allen Ave. for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by removing unsecure window and stole chainsaws.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 5:30 a.m. Aug. 4, police responded to the 2300 block of Norfolk St. for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence and stole TV and jewelry.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 2:55 a.m. Aug. 5, police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of S . 15th Ave. Driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia and passenger was in possession of illegal narcotics. Arrest made.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 12:53 a.m. Aug. 6, police observed a suspicious vehicle in the 1400 block of Luther Blvd. Three subjects were found to be in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia and were arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 9:18 p.m. Aug. 8, police made contact with two subjects at the intersection of High St. and Western St. Both subjects were in possession of illegal narcotics and were arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 1:19 a.m. Aug. 9, police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Clingman St. and Hill Ave. Driver was in possession of an illegal narcotic and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 8:54 p.m. Aug. 9, police conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Winston Churchill Drive. Driver was found to be in possession of narcotics and was arrested.

- Homicide-Murder/Non-Neglicent: At 9:52 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 500 block of Nottingham Court in regards to a shooting. Unknown offenders forced residential door open, shot resident and fled.

- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 9 p.m. Aug. 10, police responded to the 2900 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole wheels from vehicle.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 2:20 p.m. Aug. 5, police responded to the 400 block of N. Mesa for a reported larceny. Known offender stole purse from bicycle, purse returned. Petitions pending.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 12:40 p.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 100 block of S. 9th Ave. for a reported larceny. Known offender stole tablet from residential porch. Tablet returned. Petitions pending.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 3:33 p.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 500 block of N. 10th Ave. in reference to a larceny. Unknown offenders stole residential a/c unit.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 10:56 a.m. Aug. 7, police responded to the 3300 block of Carlisle Ave. in reference to a larceny. Known offender did not pay cab fee.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 7 p.m. Aug. 9, police were called to the 300 block of Allen Ave. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole bicycle from park.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 3:34 p.m. Aug. 4, police responded to the 300 block of E. Broadway for a reported shoplifting. Known offender stole candy and personal products from business and was arrested. Items recovered.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 7:20 p.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 3500 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported larceny. Known offenders had been stealing merchandise from business for several months and were arrested.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 6:20 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 300 block of E. Broadway for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole cell phone from business.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 6 p.m. Aug. 4, police responded to the 300 block of Ramsey Ave. for a reported burglary. Unknown offender stole window a/c unit from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building; At 12:01 a.m. Aug. 5, police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Terrace Ave. in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole jewelry from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 9 a.m. Aug. 8, police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Danville St. in reference to a larceny. Offender stole delivered package containing radio controlled 4x4 kit from front porch.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 1 a.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 200 block of N. 7th Ave. for a reported vandalism. No vandalism occurred but a known offender stole cash from residence. Warrant obtained.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 7 p.m. Aug. 10, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny in the 3100 block of Maple St. Known offender stole purse containing cash, cell phones, cards and medication from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 9 p.m. Aug. 4, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny in the 200 block of S. 18th Ave. Unknown offender stole handgun from unlocked vehicle.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 7:03 a.m. Aug. 8, police responded to the 3900 block of Grovewood Road for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole sunglasses from unlocked vehicle.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 12 a.m. Aug. 10, police responded to the 2700 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole wallet from unlocked vehicle.

- Stolen Property Offenses: At 12:17 a.m. Aug. 5, police conducted a traffic stop in the 2800 block of Poplar St. The vehicle was stolen from another jurisdiction and the driver was driving under the influence and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 9:39 p.m. aug. 4, police responded to the 1800 block of Sunnyside Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke a window out of a residence.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of property: At 11 p.m. Aug. 4, police responded to the 300 block of S. 12th Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke window on construction equipment.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 11:04 p.m. Aug. 5, police responded to the 3400 block of Norfolk St. for a reported vandalism. Known offender broke vehicle window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 6 p.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 1800 block of Arlington Road for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender dented vehicle hood.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7, police responded to the 200 block of E. Broadway for a disturbance. Known offender assaulted victim and broke cell phone.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 7:30 p.m. Aug. 8, police responded to the 400 block of S. 15th Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke commercial window with rocks.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 5:30 p.m. Aug. 8, police responded to the 400 block of S. 15th Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender struck a commercial plate glass window several times with a rock.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 9:11 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 1500 block of Tabb Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke residential window with a brick.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 1:20 a.m. Aug. 10, police were called to the 1400 block of Luther Blvd. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle window.

- Weapon Law Offenses; At 7:09 p.m. Aug. 4, police responded to the 300 block of Brown Ave. for a reported disturbance. During verbal altercation, known offender brandished a firearm and was arrested.
