Bradford County woman victim of fraud

MaryEllen Forrest, 22, was the recent victim of fraud and forgery, state police said.

On Feb. 26, Forrest's debit card was used without authorization, police said.

State police at Towanda said they have a suspect in the crime.

Accident occurs in Standing Stone Twp.

No one was injured in a recent motor vehicle accident on U.S. Route 6 in Standing Stone Township, police said.

For unknown reasons, 31-year-old Tonya L. Knapp of Falls, Pa., lost control of her vehicle at the end of a left-hand curve on the snow-covered roadway, police said.

Knapp's 2006 Ford Focus struck the end of a guardrail, state police said.

Both Knapp and her passenger, a 23-year-old woman from Laceyville, were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, which occurred at 5:36 a.m. on Feb. 19, state police at Towanda said.

Monroeton woman is victim of identity theft

A 48-year-old Monroeton woman was the recent victim of identity theft, according to the state police at Towanda.

State police said that last month, they investigated an incident where someone used the woman's personal information to fraudulently file a tax return in her name.

Lopez residents cited for trespassing

Fifty-four-year-old Donna Jean Work and 52-year-old Andrew K. Work, both of Lopez, have been cited for the summary offense of trespassing, police said.

The citations stem from an incident in which they unlawfully entered property belonging to Laura Lee Cruz of Dushore, police said. The incident occurred at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 15, state police at Laporte said.

Tools stolen in Wysox Twp.

Several tools were stolen from three tow trucks owned by Fulmer's towing company on Golden Mile Road in Wysox Township, police said.

The tools were discovered missing on the morning of Feb. 19, state police at Towanda said.

Towanda man charged with simple assault

Matthew Arthur Wise, 34, of Towanda has been charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment, police said.

The charges stem from a Feb. 19 incident in which Wise allegedly brandished a knife and threatened to stab a female with it, according to the Towanda police. The incident occurred at a residence in Towanda, Towanda police said.
