Columbia Cross Roads man charged with harassment

Justin Adam Dionne, 25, of Columbia Cross Roads, was charged with harassment, police said.

The charges stem from a March 6 incident in which Dionne and a female engaged in a verbal argument over baby chickens, police said.

According to police, Dionne put the female victim in a headlock after the argument turned physical.

Drug charges filed against Waverly woman

Anita Dawn Evans, 19, of Waverly, was charged with marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, police said.

According to police, Evans was seen walking on Desmond Street in Sayre when a Sayre police officer recognized Evans, knowing she had several active warrants issued by Towanda state police.

After taking Evans into custody, police said Evans was found to have a glass pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana and a leafy green substance, which field tested positive for marijuana, on her person.

Evans has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on April 14 for her preliminary hearing.

Athens man charged with weapon possession

Carl Edward Johnston Jr., 48, of Athens, was charged with possession of a weapon and marijuana possession after police stopped him on March 8, police said.

Police found a stun gun in the truck Johnston was driving after stopping him due to lacking registration information on the truck, police said.

Johnston, a convicted felon, is not allowed to possess a weapon by law, police said.

Police also found a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana in the truck, police said.

Police said a cooler containing a lab was found in the truck as well.

Johnston will face Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on April 21 for his preliminary hearing.

Milan woman charged with retail theft

Bridget Ann Dauberman, 25, of Milan, was charged with retail theft after Athens Township Police observed her loading unbagged items into a vehicle at the Elmira Street Walmart in Sayre, police said.

According to police, an Athens Township Police officer was pulling into Walmart to conduct a follow-up investigation on March 9 where he witnessed Dauberman acting suspiciously after seeing the officer.

Police said Dauberman began moving more quickly after seeing the officer and loaded her vehicle in a hurried manner.

The officer noticed no items were bagged or packaged in a manner indicating they were paid for and approached Dauberman, police said.

Police said Dauberman admitted to not having a receipt and not paying for the items.

The 37 items totaled $238.34 in value, police said.

Dauberman was remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail, police said.

She will appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on March 24 for her preliminary hearing.

Sayre man charged in Walmart theft

Elias David Chilson, 22, of Litchfield, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property on March 10, police said.

According to police, Walmart's Asset Protection Manager informed police that Chilson, a Walmart employee, purchased an auto kit and socket set on March 1, only to return it for a cash refund on March 4.

Police said the manager told them on March 5, Chilson returned to Walmart where he attempted to use the same return receipt a second time after taking the same auto kit and socket set to the customer service desk without purchasing it.

According to police, Chilson got the cash refund for the kit and set for which he did not pay.

Police said Chilson admitted to the theft in a typed statement.

Chilson has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on April 21 for his preliminary hearing.

Pair arrested in Ulster traffic stop

Donald Joseph Ramey, 47, of Wyalusing, and Gina M. Olshan, 46, of Laceyville, were arrested after a traffic stop on U.S. Route 220 in Ulster Township on March 12, police said.

According to police, Olshan was taken into custody after police discovered she had two actives warrants out of Susquehanna and Wyoming counties.

Police said Ramey consented to a search of his vehicle, which yielded multiple items used to manufacture methamphetamine and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.

Police said Ramey was arrested on felony charges related to the controlled substance and cosmetic drug act.

Ramey was remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, which was later reduced to $25,000.

DUI

The following person was recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Jacob Andrew Tyler Barrett, 23, of Gillett, by Sayre police, on March 1 on South Elmer Avenue in Sayre Borough. Police stopped Barrett after observing him drive faster than the 15 mile per hour speed limit and roll through a stop sign. A blood alcohol test later revealed Barrett's blood alcohol content to be .196 percent on the day of his arrest. Barrett has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw for his preliminary hearing on April 10.
