Bradford County Court News 3/22/2015

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett, reported that the following person(s) were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Christopher Pond, 31, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 105 days to 23 months, 29 days, fines, costs, restitution of $250, for the offense of Default in Required Appearance, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Deputy Brian Wibirt of the Bradford County Sheriff's Office arrested Pond for the offense on Oct. 1, 2013.

Mark Donmoyer, 30, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 24 months, fines, costs, restitution of $750.00, for the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer John Werner of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Donmoyer for the offense on Sept. 13, 2014.

Tracy Trainor, 25, of Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines and costs of $200, plus, restitution of $17.50 for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Trainor following investigation of an incident that occurred in Burlington Township.

Timothy Bailey, 34, of Pine City, N.Y., was sentenced to imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to six months, fines, costs and restitution of $750 fines plus costs for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bailey following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroeton Borough.

Veronique Rivera, 26, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility for 162 days followed by Probation supervision for a term of 36 months, and fines and restitution of $500, plus court costs for the offense of Endangering the Welfare of Children, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Rivera for the offense in September 2014.

Lindsey Bashore, 20, Lockwood, N.Y., was re-sentenced to imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility for 75 days to 12 months and fines and restitution of $250, plus court costs for the offense of Possession of drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bashore following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

David Terry, 34, Wyalusing, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines and restitution of $200, plus court costs, for the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Trooper Christopher Stecik of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Terry following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Borough.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following person(s) recently entered guilty pleas in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Matthew Perry, 26, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of a controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Perry will be sentenced on April 16, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Robert Hutchison of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Perry following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Township.

Luiz Martinez, 32, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Martinez will be sentenced on April 16, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Martinez for the offense in July 2014.

Charles Miner, 26, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Miner will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer George Nichols of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Miner for the offense on Dec. 13, 2014.

John Garino, 26, Gillett, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Garino will be sentenced on April 16, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Peter Federici of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Garino following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Township on Nov. 12, 2014.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reports that the following person(s) recently were accepted into the ARD Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Sara Johnson, 28, Monroeton, Pa., charged with the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Johnson will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnson for the offense.
