Man charged with DUI in Rome

William B. Fenton, 30, of Athens has been charged with DUI relating to an incident on June 27 at 1:29 a.m. at the Dandy Mini Mart in Rome Borough.

According to police, Fenton was found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle.

 

Criminal mischief investigation

State police are investigating a report of criminal mischief relating to a June 26 or June 27 incident on Walters Lane in Towanda Township.

According to police, an unknown person broke the door of a mail box belonging to Danielle Lynn Kobbe, 30, of Towanda.

Police investigate smashed windshield

State police are investigating a report of criminal mischief that occurred at Sherwood Groves between June 24 and 25 in Wysox Township.

According to police, an unknown person smashed a rear windshield to a vehicle parked in the new car lot.

Driver charged in Franklin Twp. crash

Matthew R. Bartholomew, 19, of Monroeton has been cited for driving at an unsafe speed relating to a June 24 crash on State Route 414 in Franklin Township.

According to police, Bartholomew, who was driving a 2010 Ford F-250, lost control for unknown reasons and struck two guardrails and a berm before driving over an embankment and striking a tree.

Bartholomew's truck came to rest in the front yard of a residence on State Route 414.

Both Bartholomew and a 17-year-old female passenger suffered moderate injuries during the crash, police said.

At the scene of the accident, Franklin Township Fire Chief Don Stranger told The Review that neither occupant was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash. However, a press release from state police lists the female passenger as having worn her seat belt during the crash and states Bartholomew did not.
