Burglary in Stevens Township
Towanda state police are investigating a burglary in Stevens Township that took place between July 7 and July 14, state police said.
Police said the actor entered a residence in Stevens Township and stole a silver Smith and Wesson .40 caliber handgun from the premises.
Troy woman charged with harassment
Rebecca Ellen Lane, 30, of Troy, was charged with harassment by Towanda state police after an incident in Sheshequin Township on July 9 at about 9:35 p.m., state police said.
Police said Lane struck a 45-year-old female from Towanda in the face and pulled her hair.
Harassment charges filed against Towanda woman
State police at Towanda charged Cherish Ann Johnson, 27, of Towanda with harassment after an Aug. 3 incident in Sheshequin Township where Johnson is alleged to have scratched and bit the 23-year-old victim, also of Towanda.
Towanda woman cited for hit-and-run
Jessica L. Benson, 26, of Towanda, was cited for failing to report an accident to police after she struck a Chysler Concorde with a Chevrolet Traverse while attempting to enter a parking space at the Cargill Meat Solutions location in Wyalusing Township, Towanda state police said.
Police said Benson struck the rear driver's side portion of the Chrysler, leaving minor damage on the vehicle.
Benson fled the scene and was later identified through a police investigation into the crash, police said.
Benson was uninjured in the accident, police said.
Athens man charged with harassment, simple assault
Sayre Borough Police charged Philip C. Mazzarese with harassment and simple assault after an Aug. 6 incident on U.S. Route 220 in Sayre, Sayre police said.
Police said Mazzarese's girlfriend called police after he punched her in the face several times and threw her wallet, car keys, and cellphone into woods by Route 220.
Police said the caller had a large black eye as well as swelling on the upper left side of her face.
Mazzarese admitted to police he was drinking at the time of the incident as well as throwing items in the woods, but said he didn't punch her.
Mazzarese was remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility in lieu of $35,000 bail.
Mazzarese is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Aug. 18 for his preliminary hearing.
Large sum taken from safe
State police at Towanda said someone unknown entered a residence between noon June 8 and noon Aug. 9 on Austinville Road in Columbia Township, and removed approximately $10,000 in cash from a safe on the premises and then fled the scene.

Citation pending
State police at Towanda said a non-traffic citation for summary harassment is pending against Kyle L. Bradley, 27, of Gillett, in Magisterial District Court 42-3-01 for an incident that took place at approximately 9:15 p.m. July 28 at a residence on Miller Lane in South Creek Township.
According to police, Bradley subjected a 30-year-old Gillett woman to physical contact during a dispute.
Incident investigated
State police at Towanda said they investigated an incident in which a 58-year-old Gillett woman was arrested for DUI and aggravated assault at approximately 10 p.m. July 27 at a residence at Thompson Hill Road/Route 14 in South Creek Township.
According to police, she drove her vehicle into a 33-year-old Elmira, N.Y. man.
The man, meanwhile, was arrested for simple assault, theft, and harassment for grabbing the woman and pushing her down, after stealing her various items, police said.
Police didn't provide the names of the people involved in the incident.
Inappropriate comments made
State police at Towanda said a 20-year-old Towanda woman reported that inappropriate comments were made toward her by a known 49-year-old Ulster man at approximately 8 p.m. July 30 on the pull-off in front of the cemetery near Cemetery Road in Burlington Township.
Police said an investigation is ongoing.
Drives flees crash
State police at Towanda said a driver fled the scene of a crash that occurred at 7:20 p.m. June 23 on Springfield Road and Shell Road in Springfield Township.
According to police, the driver of a Dodge Caliber lost control of the vehicle on a curve, causing it to strike a guard rail on the west bound side of the roadway. The vehicle came to final rest as it struck the guard rail, facing westbound, police said.
No injuries
State police at Towanda said no injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash that occurred at 11 a.m. July 28 on Route 14 at its intersection with the Gate 2 lane at Alparon Park in Troy Township.
According to police, the drivers involved in the crash were George N. MacBride of Milan; Roger D. Wilcox, 61, of Canton; and Brian L. Lent, 38, of Gillett. Police said MacBride was charged with a violation of "duties at stop signs."
Police said the crash occurred as MacBride was stopped at a stop sign on the Gate 2 lane, at its intersection with Route 14. He did not yield to oncoming traffic and pulled onto Route 14, police said. His vehicle was struck on the driver side by Wilcox, in the southbound lane of Route 14, which caused MacBride's vehicle to spin into the northbound lane. Subsequently, it was struck by Lent's vehicle, which was traveling north on Route 14, police said.
Police said all vehicles had disabling damage.
MacBride was driving a Chevrolet S10; Wilcox a Ford F150; and Lent a Chevrolet Blazer, police said.
