Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons recently entered pleas of guilty and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:

Angelina Hilton, 20, Milan, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Defiant Trespass, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and was sentenced to a fine of $50.00, plus court costs. Sergeant Keith Stackhouse of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hilton for the offense on April 15, 2015, following investigation of a Defiant Trespass that occurred in Athens Township.

Megan Fairchild, 36, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark, to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and was sentenced to a fine of $75.00, restitution in the amount of $10.00, plus court costs. Deputy David Hart of the Bradford County Sheriff's Office arrested Fairchild for the offense on June 15, 2015, following investigation of a Theft that occurred in Sheshequin Township.

Brandon Oakley, 27, Monroeton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark, to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and was sentenced to a fine of $100.00 and court costs. Trooper Peter Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Oakley for the offense on May 23, 2015, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Monroe Township.

Heather Allen, 32, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Retail Theft, a summary offense, and was sentenced to 20 days. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Allen for the offense on Feb. 8, 2015, following investigation of a Retail Theft that occurred in Athens Township.

Brittany Greens, 28, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Retail Theft, a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $250.00, plus court costs. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police arrested Greens for the offense on May 24, 2015, following investigation of a Retail Theft that occurred in Athens Township.

Stefan Miller, 27, Elmira, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to a fine of $250.00, plus court costs. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Miller for the offense on March 21, 2015, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Athens Township.

Brandon Sweet, 29, Waverly, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and was sentenced to a fine of $250.00 and court costs. Officer Jason Condusta of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Sweet for the offense on Jan. 28, 2015, following investigation of a Theft that occurred in Athens Borough.

Howard Cook, 53, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $200.00, plus court costs. Officer Denny Slater of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Cook for the offense on May 22, 2015, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Athens Township.

Timothy Thurston, 33, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark, to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and was sentenced to a fine of $100.00, plus court costs. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Thurston for the offense on May 24, 2015, following investigation of a simple assault that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Marc Petrucci, 29, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark, to the offense of Public Drunkenness, a summary, and was sentenced to six days in the Bradford County Correctional facility and a fine of $75.00, plus court costs. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Petrucci for the offense on May 24, 2015, following investigation of public drunkenness that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Jennifer Norton, 30, Nichols, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $200.00, plus court costs. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Norton for the offense on May 7, 2015, following investigation of disorderly conduct that occurred in Athens Township.

Valerie Lamb, 57, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Retail Theft, a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $250.00, plus court costs. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Lamb for the offense on May 17, 2015, following investigation of Retail Theft that occurred in Athens Township.

Jason Garey, 38, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox, to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, summary, and was sentenced to a fine of $200.00, and court costs. Trooper Christopher Schelling of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Garey for the offense on June 17, 2015, following investigation of a Disorderly Conduct that occurred in Ridgebury Township.

Brandon Moore, 29, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Public Drunkenness, summary offense, and was sentenced to community service and court costs. Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Moore for the offense on June 3, 2015, following investigation of a Public Drunkenness that occurred in Sayre Borough.

David Hadlock, 35, Barton, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to a fine of $250.00 and court costs. Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested him for the offense on April 12, 2015, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Wayne Sitzer, 35, Barnesville, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $300.00 and court costs. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Sitzer for the offense on April 18, 2015, following investigation of a disorderly conduct that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Christian Sneed, 31, Beech Creek, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark, to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $75.00, plus court costs. Deputy Jason Sonnema of the Bradford County Sheriff's Office arrested Sneed for the offense on June 24, 2015, following investigation of a disorderly conduct that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Timothy Ortiz, 27, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark, to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 30 days and court costs. Officer Corey McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Ortiz for the offense on May 23, 2015, following investigation of a possession of drug paraphernalia that occurred in Towanda Borough.

District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported the following recent criminal case resolutions in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

SENTENCED

Rodney Randall, 33, of Nichols, N.Y., was sentenced to State Intermediate Punishment for 24 months. State Intermediate Punishment is a two year program. It begins with at least seven months of regular state prison, followed by custody in a drug/alcohol addiction center, followed by restricted living in a residential program. The prison administration must be satisfied that the prisoner has made progress in rehabilitation from substance abuse. If not, the prisoner will be dismissed from S.I.P. and resentenced. If the S.I.P. program is completed, the prisoner will be under probation supervision for two additional years and checked regularly for drug or alcohol use. If he/she violated during those two years, probation will be revoked and if there is a violation more incarceration will be imposed. Randall will pay fines of $1,000.00 plus court costs; he will also lose his driver's license for six months, for the offenses of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a Felony and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, a felony of the third degree. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Randall for the offense occurring on Dec. 6, 2014 and October 2014. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit also arrested Randall following investigation of the incidents.

Lyndon Johnson, 52, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to State Intermediate Punishment for 24 months. State Intermediate Punishment is a two year program. It begins with at least seven months of regular state prison, followed by custody in a drug/alcohol addiction center, followed by restricted living in a residential program. Johnson will pay fines of $1,750.00 and restitution of $100.00, for the offenses of Persons not to Possess a Firearm, a felony of the second degree and Criminal Trespass, a felony of the third degree. Officers Nathan Ross and Travis Snyder both of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Johnson for the offenses.

Jared Keeney, 35, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 12 months to 48 months, fines of $1,000.00, plus court costs, restitution of $25.00, for the offense of Theft of Licensed Property, felony of the third degree. Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Keeney following investigation of an incident that occurred in Springfield Township.

Anthony Stone, 26, Gillett, Pa., was sentenced to fines, plus court costs, for the offense of Harassment. Trooper Keith Roman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Stone following investigation of an incident that occurred in South Creek Township.

Jeffrey Hoey, 43, Athens, Pa., was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for six months to 23 months, 29 days, followed by probation supervision for a term of 36 months, fines of $1,500.00, plus court costs, he will also lose his driver's license for 18 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor the first degree. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Hoey for the offense occurring on March 22, 2014.

Benjamin Johnson, 35, of Eufaula, Okla., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to six months, fines of $1,000.00, plus court costs, he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Christopher Stecik of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township on Feb. 13, 2015.

Andrew Drake, 29, Wellsburg, N.Y., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $5,000.00, also buy money $110.00, he will lose his driver's license for six months, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Drake following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township.

Phillip Cosilmon, 25, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of six months, fines of $300.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence, a misdemeanor. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Cosilmon for the offense on Feb. 28, 2015.

Joshua Kepner, 28, Wysox, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $500.00, plus court costs, restitution of $150.00 for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Trooper Mike Adams of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kepner following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough in January 2014.

Shanone Furman, 28, Wysox, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $250.00, plus court costs, restitution of $400.00 for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Trooper Mike Adams of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Furman following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough in January 2014.

Trey Ackley, 20, of Canton, Pa., was re-sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for four months to 11 months, 29 days, probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $400.00, plus court costs, restitution of $10,051.35, for the offense of Criminal Mischief, misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Ackley for the offense occurring on Oct. 12, 2014.

Jamie McGowan, 28, of Wyalusing, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 21 days to six months, fines of $300.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested McGowan following investigation of an incident that occurred in Asylum Township in June 2013.

Katie Watkins, 24, of Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $250.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Trooper Robert Hutchison of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Watkins following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township in December 2014.

Cody Odell, 25, of Wyalusing, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days to six months, fines of $750.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Officer Corey McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Odell for the offense occurring on Sept. 21, 2014.

Clayton Tillotson, 21, of Canton, Pa., was sentenced to fines of $100.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Purchase, consumption, possess, transport of liquor, a summary offense. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Tillotson for the offense occurring on Aug. 9, 2014.

Timothy Ortiz, 27, of Towanda, Pa., was resentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 35 days to six months, fines of $600.00, plus costs for the Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer John Werner of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Ortiz for the offense occurring on Feb. 14, 2014.

Krystal Griffin, 34, of Gillett, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 18 months, fines of $100.00, plus court costs, for the offenses of two counts of Retail Theft, felonies of the third degree. Officer Roger Clink and Officer Denny Slater of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Griffin for the offense occurring on Dec. 8, 2014 and March 12, 2015.

Scott Vietzen, 32, of Canton, Pa., was resentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a flat 90 days, followed by County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months. County Intermediate Punishment involves a combination of restrictions and supervision. It may include home confinement, electronic monitor, and substance abuse treatment. Violations can result in incarceration. Vietzen will pay fines of $750.00, plus court costs, plus restitution of $245.00, for the offense of Theft, a felony of the second degree. Corporal Norman Strauss of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Vietzen following investigation of an incident that occurred in Canton Township.

GUILTY PLEAS

Clayton Tillotson, 21, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Purchase, Consumption, Possess, transport of Liquor a summary offense. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Tillotson for the offense in August 2014.

Anthony Stone, 26, Gillett, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense. Trooper Keith Roman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Stone following investigation if an incident that occurred in South Creek Township.

Christopher Evans, 19, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Evans will be sentenced on Sept. 17, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Gabriel Paduck of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Evans following investigation of an incident that occurred in Overton Township.

Michael Annesi, 36, Endicott, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Annesi will be sentenced on Sept. 17, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Annesi for the offense in February 2015.

Rodney Randall, 33, Nichols, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Criminal Use of Communication Facility, a felony of the third degree. Randall was to be sentenced on July 17, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Randall following investigation of an incident that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Tiffany Westbrook, 28, Horseheads, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Westbrook will be sentenced on Sept. 14, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Westbrook following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wilmot Township on Jan. 30, 2015.

James McKean, 29, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. McKean will be sentenced on Sept. 14, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Corey McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested McKean for the offense on April 12, 2015.

Nichole Nichols, 36, Nichols, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Nichols will be sentenced on Sept. 14, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Terence Foley of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Nichols following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ulster Township.

 

PLACEMENT IN THE ACCELERATED REHABILITATIVE DISPOSITION (ARD) PROGRAM

Elizabeth Benjamin, 29, Wysox, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Benjamin will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Benjamin must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade. Trooper Tyler Brackman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Benjamin for the offense on March 14, 2015 for the offense in Wysox Township.

Brittany Amentler, 24, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Recklessly Endangering another Person, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Amentler will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Officer Timothy Cahill of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges in March 2015 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Mitchell McPhillips, 21, Barton, N.Y., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation McPhillips will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, McPhillips must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Trooper Terence Foley of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested McPhillips for the offense.
