Sayre woman facing harassment, assault charges

Sarah L. McKean, 22, of Sayre, was charged by Athens Township Police with simple assault and harassment by physical contact on Oct. 9 following a domestic assault incident at a Roselyn Court apartment.

Police said they responded to the apartment where they found the victim, who explained McKean and the victim has an argument.

The victim said the argument escalated and McKean began assaulting the victim, striking the victim's right arm, face and head, police said.

Police observed swelling on the victim's right arm as well as a swollen area above the victim's left eye and cuts on both sides of the victim's face, police said.

Police located McKean at a different residence shortly after meeting the victim and placed her in custody.

McKean was remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

McKean will appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Oct. 13 for her preliminary hearing.

Terroristic threats among Ulster man's charges

Athens Township Police filed multiple charges and counts against an Ulster man following a Sept. 16 incident, Athens Police said.

Ryan Charles Elliott, 18, of Ulster, has been charged with two counts of criminal mischief; two counts of disorderly conduct, creating a hazardous or physically offensive condition; one count of recklessly endangering another person; two counts of terroristic threats, threatening to commit a crime of violence; and one count of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Police responded to Jim King Park on Glen Valley Road where the victim said Elliott was waiting for the victim, police said.

The victim told police Elliott ripped off a side mirror from the victim's vehicle and threw it at the vehicle's windshield as the victim drove away after threatening the victim and another victim, police said.

Elliott admitted to police that he broke the mirror and threw it at the victim's car, as well as argued with the two victims, police said.

Elliott told police he has anger management issues and has been in numerous arguments with one of the victim's prior to this incident.

Police said the victim provided an estimate for the damage Elliott caused with a total amount of $427.73, with potentially more charges from possible electrical issues.

Elliott has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Nov. 10 for his preliminary hearing.
