Hopewell

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 8:35 p.m., Aug. 17, police responded to the 2800 blk of Gordon St in reference to shots fired. Known offender fired shotgun into residence, hitting victim and was later arrested.

- Assault-Aggravated/Domestic: At 9:40 p.m., Aug. 16, police responded to the 300 blk of S 13th Ave for a reported disturbance. During mutual argument, known offender stabbed victim in chest and was arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: At 5 p.m., Aug. 12, police responded to the 400 blk of S 15th Ave for a reported larceny. Known offenders entered residence via unlocked rear door and stole several guns. Most of the guns recovered and offenders arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: At 1 p.m., Aug. 13, police responded to the 2900 blk of Poplar St for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via unlocked door & stole mounted deer heads, clothing & A/C unit.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: At 11 p.m., Aug. 14, police responded to the 1500 blk of New York Ave in regards to a burglary. Unknown offender attempted to enter residence via side window. Nothing stolen.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 11:37 p.m., Aug. 15, police responded to the 300 blk of Woodbine St in regards to suspicious activity. Known offenders were found to be in possession of marijuana and were arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 7:16 p.m., Aug. 18, police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Winston Churchill Dr and Plant St. Driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Fraud-Fraud By Impersonation: At 12 p.m., Aug. 16 police responded to headquarters for a reported identity theft that occurred at various points in Hopewell. Known offender used victim's information to avoid arrests.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 1 p.m., Aug. 13, police responded to the 200 blk of N 2nd Ave regarding a larceny. Unknown offender stole cell phone from office.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 8 p.m., Aug. 13, police responded to the 1000 blk Sunnyside Ave for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole unsecured bicycle from residential yard.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 5:50 p.m., Aug. 13, police responded to the 100 blk of Citypoint Rd for a reported larceny. Known offenders stolen cash from secured locker by cutting lock. Some cash recovered.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 10 a.m., Aug. 14, police responded to the 1000 blk of Edward Bland Ct for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole game system from residence.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 9 a.m., Aug. 15, police responded to the 3800 blk of Woodlawn St for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole building materials from construction site.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 4:53 p.m., Aug. 18, police responded to the 400 blk of E Broadway for an attempted larceny. Unknown offender attempted to steal a bicycle, but fled when confronted by the owner.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 5:17 p.m., Aug. 17, police responded to the 1000 blk of Elm St for a reported shoplifting. Unknown offenders stole clothing from business.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 9:30 a.m., Aug. 13, police responded to the 200 block of Eppes St for a reported larceny. Known offender stole i-pod from business, which was later recovered.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 11 a.m., Aug. 16, police responded to the 1500 blk of Piper Square Dr for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole laptop from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 1 p.m., Aug. 16, police responded to the 1800 blk of Freeman for a for a reported larceny. Unknown stole an unsecured bicycle from outside of a residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 12 a.m., Aug. 12, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 100 blk of N Radford Dr. Unknown offender stole gun from locked vehicle by unknown means.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 12 a.m., Aug. 15, police responded to the 3100 blk of Oaklawn Blvd for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole gun, clothing and wallet from vehicle by breaking window.

- Possession Of Marijuana: At 7:22, Aug. 18, police responded to the intersection of High Ave and Berry St for a reported traffic accident. Driver was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence, was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Robbery/Commercial: At 9:45 p.m., Aug. 13, police responded to the 600 blk of W Randolph Rd for a reported robbery. Offender robbed business at gun point of cash, some of which was recovered, and was later arrested.

- Unauthorized Use Of Motor Vehicle: At 6 a.m., Aug. 17, police responded to the 200 blk of E Broadway for a reported stolen vehicle. Known offender stole vehicle keys and vehicle, which were later recovered. Warrants obtained.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 10 p.m., Aug. 12,police responded to the 200 blk of S 7th Ave for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged a residential screen door.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 1 a.m., Aug. 13, police responded to the 1000 blk of W Broadway for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged commercial fuel tanks with rocks, sludge, broken glass and water.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 2:59 a.m., Aug. 15, police responded to the 1500 blk of New York Ave for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke residential window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 9 a.m., Aug. 16, police responded to the 1100 blk of Kruper Ave for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged residential front door.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 5 a.m., Aug. 17, police responded to the 5100 blk of Plaza Dr for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle windows. Nothing stolen.
