Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced the following resolutions of criminal cases in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Sentences ordered:

Mark Capwell, 19, Rome, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of 12 months for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Shawn McKean, 28, Monroeton, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of 12 months for the offense of Obstructing Administration of Law or Other Governmental Function (failure to register as a sex offender).

Joey Lee Carey, 24, Dalmatia, PA, was sentenced to probation for a total term of 15 months for the offenses of Theft By Unlawful Taking and Criminal Trespass.

Joseph Leighton, 28, Wysox, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 45 days to 23 months for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Leighton was also ordered to reimburse the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of $170.00 for money used to purchase a controlled substance in connection with his arrest and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for six months.

Raul Madera, 30, Laceyville, PA, was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 95 days to 12 months, and fines totaling $2500.00, for two counts of the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Additionally, Madera will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 months plus an additional 12 months for refusing to submit to a blood test at the time of his arrest.

Joshua Bailey, 24, New Albany, PA, was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from six months to 18 months, followed by probation for 12 months, for the offenses of Simple Assault and Harassment.

James Gleason, 18, Laceyville, PA was sentenced to probation for a term of two years for the offense of Corruption of Minors.

Matthew Desrocher, 41, Canton, PA, was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from six months to 24 months for the offenses of Criminal Trespass and Theft by Unlawful Taking. Desrocher was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1160.00.

Ryan Allis, 18, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking and was sentenced to probation for a term of 12 months; he was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $600.00.

James Mosher, 52, Waverly, NY, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 90 days to six months, and a fine of $1150. Additionally, Mosher will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 18 months plus an additional 12 months for refusing to provide a blood sample at the time of his arrest.

Lindsey Hart, 24, Columbia Crossroads, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Access Device Fraud and was sentenced to probation for a term of one year; he was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1157.31.

Guilty pleas entered following agreement

April M. Thetga, 31, Towanda, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended (DUI-related); she will be sentenced on November 25, 2013. Troopers David Sweeney and James Dughi, respectively, of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Thetga for the offenses in February and July 2013.

Kamry M. Smiley, 23, Athens, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Retail Theft; she will be sentenced on November 25, 2013. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Smiley for the offense.

Randy Knolles, 39, Laceyville, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Criminal Trespass; he will be sentenced on January 9, 2013. Trooper Matthew Grebeck arrested Knolles for the offense.

Joshua Whitehead, 24, Wyalusing, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Criminal Trespass, Intimidation of a Witness, and Terroristic Threats; he will be sentenced on December 23, 2013. Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Whitehead for the offenses.

Raymond Pace, 29, Towanda, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Access Device Fraud and Theft of Leased Property; he will be sentenced on December 23, 2013. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department and Trooper Christopher Schelling of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Pace for the offenses.

Justin Lacy, 24, Sayre, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer; he will be sentenced on December 23, 2013. Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Lacy for the offenses.

Phillip Warfle, Jr., 24, Wyalusing, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Criminal Trespass; he will be sentenced on January 9, 2014. Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Warfle following for the offense.

William Ferguson, 22, West Monroe, LA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; he will be sentenced on January 9, 2014. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Ferguson for the offense.

Theodore Hayes, 68, Owego, NY, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Recklessly Endangering another Person; he will be sentenced on January 9, 2014. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hayes for the offense.

Alex Knight, 25, Goreville, IL, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; he will be sentenced on January 9, 2014. Officer Nathan Ross of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Knight for the offense.

Robert Lafy, 45, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance; he will be sentenced on December 23, 2013. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Lafy for the offense.

Placement in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program

Larry Vanderpool, 61, Wyalusing, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in April 2013 by Trooper Bradley Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Vanderpool will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Vanderpool must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement.

Jason Morgan, 43, Ulster, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Officer Josh Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department in February 2013, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Morgan will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Morgan must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Adam Merkel, 38, Canton, PA, charged with the offense of Simple Assault by Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department in July 2013, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Merkel will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. As an additional condition of ARD placement, Merkel will be required to pay restitution for medical bills as determined to be due and owing.

Jennifer J. Devine, 40, Towanda, PA, charged with the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver by an agent of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit in December 2012, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Devine will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. As additional conditions of ARD placement, Devine must perform community service and reimburse the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of $120.00 for money used to purchase a controlled substance during the event leading to her.

Branigan Keeley, 27, Sayre, PA, charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department in April 2013, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Keeley will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Keeley must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement.

Cody A. McNaughton, 21, Sayre, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Officer Nathan Ross of the Sayre Borough Police Department in May 2013, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, McNaughton will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, McNaughton must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Cynthia R. Parrish, 38, Sayre, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department in May 2013, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Parrish will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Parrish must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; she will also lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Stephanie A. Parker, 28, Monroeton, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Trooper Matthew Grebeck of the Pennsylvania State Police in May 2013, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Parker will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Parker must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; she will also lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days.

Darren N. Killian Jr, 19, Canton, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department in January 2013, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Killian will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Killian must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days.

Timothy A. Kerrick, 19, Monroeton, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department in August 2013, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Kerrick will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Kerrick must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 90 days.

Clifford M. Campbell, 53, Athens, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Campbell will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Campbell must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Tracy N. Trainor, 25, Towanda, PA, charged with the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of six months. While on probation, Trainor will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Trainor must perform 40 hours of community service as a condition of ARD placement.
