Hopewell Crime for Jan. 5

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 7:19 p.m. Dec. 28, police responded to the 200 block of N. 14th Avenue in regards to an assault. Known offender assaulted victim with fists and by kicking. Warrants obtained.

- Assault-Aggravated/Domestic: at 11:26 p.m. Dec. 27, police were called to the 3300 block of Boston Street for a reported assault. Known family members assaulted each other with fists. Both arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Outbuilding/Garage: At 11:51 a.m. Dec. 24, police responded to the 200 block of Boston Street for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered shed by cutting lock and stole air conditioner unit and copper wiring.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 6:15 p.m. Dec. 23, police responded to the 3000 block of Elmwood Avenue in reference to an assault. Known offender entered residence by force, assaulted resident and was arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 4 p.m. Dec. 26, police were dispatched to the 100 block of N. 14th Avenue for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered a residence by forcing rear door and stole jewelry, silver and cash.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 11:53 p.m. Dec. 28, police responded to the 2100 block of Cloverdale Avenue for an attempted burglary. Unknown offenders attempted to enter residence by removing window screens. No entry made.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 9:46 p.m. Dec. 25, police responded to the 500 block of N. 9th Avenue regarding a disturbance. While being searched due to arrest, known offender was found to be in possession of narcotics.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 10:20 p.m. Dec. 26, police identified a narcotic violation in the 400 block of S. Mesa Drive. Known offenders were found to be in possession of marijuana. Petitions pending.

- Fraud-Fraud by Impersonation: At 7:58 p.m. Dec. 29, police were called to the 3300 block of Oaklawn Boulevard in reference to a suspicious subject. Known offender gave police false identifying information, attempted to flee, was found to be wanted from another jurisdiction and was arrested.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 1:58 p.m. Dec. 26, police responded to the 1000 block of Elm Street for a reported larceny. Known offenders stole two bicycles from outside of business. Both bicycles were recovered. Petitions pending.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 8:47 p.m. Dec. 23, police responded to the 900 block of Colonial Corner Drive in reference to a larceny. Two unknown offenders stole alcohol from business.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 7 p.m. Dec. 27, police responded to the 700 block of W. Randolph Road for a reported larceny. Known offender stole tablet computer from residence.

- Motor Vehicle Theft/Stolen Auto: At 9:55 p.m. Dec. 26, police responded to the 2300 block of Oaklawn Boulevard in reference to a larceny of an auto. Unknown offender stole unlocked, running vehicle from outside of business.

- Robbery/Individual: At 5:33 p.m. Dec. 27, police responded to the 200 block of Appomattox Avenue for a reported robbery. Unknown offenders attempted to steal from victim by force but fled with nothing stolen.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 3:47 a.m. Dec. 23, police responded to the 1100 block of Pine Avenue for a reported vandalism. Known offender damaged residential door and window frame and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12 a.m. Dec. 27, police responded to the 2300 block of Dellrose Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged residential door frame.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 1 p.m. Dec. 29, police responded to the 1300 block of Stewart Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 9:19 p.m. Dec. 29, police responded to the 1300 block of Meadow Street for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke residential window by throwing a piece of asphalt.

- Weapon Law Offenses: at 1:58 a.m. Dec. 24, police responded to the 1200 block of S. 1st Avenue for a report of shots fired. Unknown offender shot into a residential building multiple times. No injuries.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 1:37 a.m. Dec. 28, police responded to the 2700 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a report of shots fired. Known offender fired shots, fled from the scene, tossed a firearm and was later apprehended and arrested. No injuries.
