Vandalism occurs in Franklin Twp.

State police at Towanda said they are trying to determine who opened a Frontier Communications repeater box in Franklin Township, removed three repeaters, and threw them into the woods near the box.

This act of vandalism occurred at 12:49 a.m. Tuesday along Foot Plains Road, police said.

Theft occurs in Wysox Township

Someone recently stole a wooden frame at the old Rolling Acres building at 936 Craftmaster Road in Wysox Township, police said.

The theft occurred sometime between Jan. 11 and Jan. 13, state police said.

State police seeking shoplifting suspect in Wysox Twp.

State police said they are seeking the public's help in catching a male suspect who has been stealing items from the East Towanda Dandy Mini Mart in Wysox Township.

The suspect entered the store at 11:08 a.m. on Jan. 12 and took various snacks, drinks, and several pairs of heavy duty work gloves, police said.

The same suspect was also involved in a series of thefts from the same convenience store on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20, police said.

Police described the suspect as white, 40 to 50 years old, with gray shoulder length hair. During the Jan. 12 incident, he was searing blue jeans, a gray T-shirt, a dark colored jacket, and a gray baseball cap, and was driving a silver Chevrolet Cavalier, police said.

Checks forged in Wysox Township

A 90-year-old male reported that a number of checks were taken from his checkbook and were used without his permission, police said.

The total amount of checks that were taken and forged was five, for a total of $4,900, state police said.

The crime took place between Dec. 10 and Dec. 16 in the 31000 block of U.S. Route 6 in Wysox Township, police said.

Man injured in Towanda Twp. crash

Everett B. Collins, 33, of Troy suffered a moderate injury in a recent motor vehicle accident in Towanda Township, police said.

Collins was traveling east on Liberty Corners Road at 1:16 a.m. Friday when, for an unknown reason, he lost control of his 2000 Saturn Vue, police said.

The vehicle went off the north side of the road, struck a guard rail, continued to travel east, and then traveled down an embankment, police said.

The vehicle came to rest on the bank of a creek, state police at Towanda said.

Once emergency medical personnel made contact with Collins, he fled on foot to a nearby residence, police said.
