Athens Twp. police investigating theft
Athens Township police are investigating a recent theft incident, according to information from the Athens Township Police Department.
Police said an unknown individual removed about 100 gallons of diesel fuel from the fuel tank of a truck tractor parked in a driveway on Route 220, just south of the Greens Landing Dandy Mini Mart. The theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Feb. 9 and 6 a.m. Feb. 10, police said.
Following the theft, the actor fled in an unknown direction by unknown means, police said.

Retail theft charge
An Athens woman was recently arrested by Athens Township police on a charge of retail theft.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Maryellen E. Bodolus, 51, was also charged with receiving stolen property.
Police said Bodolus attempted to remove $51.11 worth of merchandise Feb. 4 from the Tops supermarket on Elmira Street.
Bodolus' preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 4.
Police investigate burglary
State police at Towanda are investigating a recent burglary in Litchfield Township.
According to information from state police, an unknown actor or actors forced entry into an Arnold Road residence Feb. 8 and removed a bottle of prescription medication. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact state police at (570) 265-2186.
Vehicle stolen
State police at Towanda are investigating the recent theft of a vehicle from a Litchfield Township location.
According to state police information, at about 3 a.m. Feb. 8, an unknown actor stole a teal 2001 Subaru Outback station wagon from a parking space outside a township residence. Police said the vehicle was located about five miles from where it was stolen.

No injuries in Wells Twp. accident
State police recently investigated a one-car motor vehicle accident in Wells Township.
According to information from state police at Towanda, at about 10:25 a.m. Feb. 4, a southbound 1997 Chrysler Concorde operated by Chaunte R. Hickok, 22, of Columbia Cross Roads, struck a ditch with its front end on Coryland Road after Hickok fell asleep.
Neither Hickok nor a passenger, Chad L. Hickok, 25, of Columbia Cross Roads, were injured and both wore seatbelts, police said. Police cited Chaunte Hickok for failure to stay in lane, police said.
Sayre man incarcerated for burglary
A Sayre man was recently incarcerated by Sayre Borough police on a charge of burglary.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Patrick M. Firestine, 20, was also charged with two counts of simple assault and one count each of criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
Police said Firestine entered a Keystone Avenue residence without permission at about 3:35 a.m. Feb. 8 and refused to leave. Firestine also struck two adult females at the residence with a closed fist, police said. Firestine also damaged kitchen drawers in the residence, police said.
Firestine was arraigned Feb. 8 by Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark and remanded to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. Firestine's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 18.
Man charged with assault
An Athens man was recently arrested by Athens Borough police on a charge of simple assault.
According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Seth Charles Shaughnessy, 19, was also charged with harassment.
Police said Shaughnessy punched a male victim in the face during an argument at about noon Feb. 8 at a South Main Street residence.
Shaughnessy was arraigned Feb. 8 by Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark and released from the Bradford County jail on non-monetary bail. Shaughnessy's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 18.
Towanda woman charged with simple assault
Nancy C. Miller, 35, of Towanda is accused of striking a man in the head with a beer bottle, after the two had become engaged in a verbal argument, police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:46 p.m. Friday at Miller's residence on York Avenue, Towanda police said.
The blow caused a lump on the victim's head, police said.
Miller has been charged with simple assault, police said.
Miller has been sent a summons which orders her to appear on March 26 before Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark.
DUI charge
The following person was recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:
Nathan Michael Gowin, 26, of Canton, by the state police, on Jan. 25, on state Route 414 in the Monroeton area. A test revealed that Gowin's blood alcohol content on the day of his arrest was .226 percent.
Wyalusing student charged
A 17-year-old female has been charged with harassment after pouring milk on another 17-year-old girl at Wyalusing Area High School on Jan. 30, police said.
The accused allegedly threw milk onto the victim after discovering she was being talked about, police said.
The girl reportedly admitted to police she did throw the milk.
Theft investigation in Terry Twp.
State police are investigating the report of a theft that occured on Jan. 30 at approximately 9:30 a.m. on the 300 Block of Carr Road in Terry Township.
According to police, an unknown person stole a gold band ring with seven diamonds on it in the shape of a butterfly.

Man suffers major injuries in Pike Twp. crash
Ronald W. Gavronsky, 49, of Dickson City suffered major injuries during a single vehicle crash on State Route 467 on Feb. 4 at 6:47 a.m., police said.
According to police, Gavronsky was traveling northbound in a 2011 Ford F-350 when he traveled off the right side of the road, through a ditch, struck multiple trees and struck a utility pole before coming to rest.
Gavronsky was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, police said.
HOPS EMS transported Gavronsky to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
Police charged Gavronsky with driving on the wrong side of the road, and failing to wear his seat belt.
