Hopewell Crime for March 2

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Arson: At 2:22 p.m. Feb. 19, while in police custody at 300 N. Main St. for another incident, known offender attempted to set fire to items in the holding sell.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 4:11 p.m. Feb. 28, police responded to the 400 block of S. 21st Ave. for a reported burglary. Known offender entered residence by kicking front door and stole headphones, game system, games and accessories. Headphones and game system later recovered and offender arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 3 p.m. Feb. 18, police responded to the 1600 block of Tabb Ave. for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by breaking rear window and stole TV, laptop and clothing.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 3:54 p.m. Feb. 20, police responded to the 1000 block of Burnside Drive for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via basement window and stole TV and game system.

- Counterfeiting/Forgery: At 10:43 a.m. Feb. 18, police responded to headquarters for a reported check forgery. Known offender cashed a stolen and forged check.

- Counterfeiting/Forgery; At 3:54 p.m. Feb. 19, police responded to the 700 block of City Point Road for a reported fraud. Known offender cashed stolen checks.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 5:07 p.m. Feb. 17, police performed a traffic stop in the 600 block of W. Randolph Road. Narcotics were found during the stop and the driver was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 11:01 p.m. Feb. 17, police arrested a subject in the 1500 block of Piper Square for drug possession.

- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 12 p.m. Feb. 21, police responded to the 3900 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole vehicle tags.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 8 a.m. Feb. 17, police responded to the 400 block of S. Mesa Drive for a reported larceny. Known offender stole headquarters, which were later recovered.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 11 a.m. Feb. 19, police responded to the 200 block of Woodbine St. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole ladder from outside of a residence.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 8:52 a.m. Feb. 19, police responded to the 100 block of S. 12th Ave. for a reported vandalism. Known offenders stole fire extinguishers from buses and sprayed vehicles, which were not damaged. Petitions pending.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 4 p.m. Feb. 21, police responded to the 1100 block of N. 2nd Ave. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole bicycle from the rear yard of a residence.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 6:50 p.m. Feb. 21, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny from the 100 block of S. 8th Ave. Known offender stole cash from a residence.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 8 p.m. Feb. 22, police responded to the headquarters in reference to a larceny that occurred in the 100 block of Cavalier Square. Unknown offender stole an I-Pod from a business restroom.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 12:58 a.m. Feb. 17, police responded to the 2300 block of Oaklawn Blvd. in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole DVDs from a business.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 12:08 p.m. Feb. 17, police responded to the 2300 block of Oaklawn Blvd. in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole DVDs from a business on Jan. 11.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12:30 a.m. Feb. 22, police responded to the 400 block of N. Main St. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole sound equipment.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 10:30 a.m. Feb. 22, police responded to headquarters in reference to a domestic assault that occurred in the 800 block of Perrymont Road. Known offender assaulted victim by slapping and stole ID, cash and debit cards from purse. Offender arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12 p.m. Feb. 17, police responded to the 2600 block of Wise St. for a reported burglary. Known offender trespassed and broke a window at a residence.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 9:15 a.m. police responded to the 700 block of Collindale Road for a reported assault and vandalism. Known offenders assaulted victim, damaged vehicle and were arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 4 a.m. Feb. 23, police responded to the 1600 block of City Point Road for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender threw a brick and broke a door window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 23, police were called to the 200 block of N. 16th Ave. for a reported vandalism. Known offender cut vehicle tires.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 12:20 p.m. Feb. 19, police responded to the 400 block of S. Mesa Drive for a reported weapons violation. Known offender was found in possession of brass knuckles. Petitions pending.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 11:06 p.m. Feb. 29, police responded to the 300 block of City Point Road for a reported disturbance. Known offender brandished a weapon at the victim and was later arrested.
