Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:
Samantha Walters, 21, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor and Disorderly Conduct, a summary offense and was sentenced to eight days and court costs. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Walters for the offenses on Aug. 4 and Aug. 12, 2014, following investigation of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Disorderly Conduct that occurred in Towanda Borough.
Eric Applegate, 24, Mildred, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $100, restitution in the amount of $300, and court costs. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Applegate for the offense in September, following investigation of a Disorderly Conduct that occurred in Towanda Borough.
Justin Brown, 30, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to five days and court costs. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Brown for the offense on May 17, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Borough.
Colleen Kraszewski, 20, Waverly, N.Y., entered pleas of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and court costs. Officer Nikki Hoffman of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Kraszewski for the offense in August, following the investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia that occurred in Athens Township.
Michael Comstock, 22, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and was sentenced to eight days, and court costs. Officer Nikki Hoffman of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Comstock for the offense on Aug. 10, 2014, following the investigation of Disorderly Conduct that occurred in Athens Borough.
Darik Ward, 23, Johnson City, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 15 days (30 days suspended) and court costs. Officer Nathan Ross the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Ward for the offense on Aug. 4, 2014, following the investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia that occurred in Sayre Borough.
Danica Saxbury, 21, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 15 days plus court costs.
Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Saxbury for the offense on Aug. 4, 2014, following an investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia that occurred in Athens Township.
Ryan Plouse, 24, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Unsworn Falsification to Authorities, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $300.00 and court costs. Officer Denny Slater of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Plouse for the offense on May 14, 2014, following an investigation of unsworn falsification that occurred in Athens Township.
Sarah Hollenbeck, 29, Lockwood, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Retail Theft, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $150 and court costs. Officer Denny Slater of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hollenbeck for the offense on July 9, 2014, following an investigation of retail theft that occurred in Athens Township.
Julian Acevedo, 36, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to fines of $216 and court costs. Trooper Christopher Stecik of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Acevedo for the offense on July 31, 2014, following an investigation which occurred in Sheshequin Township.

Scott Kunkle, 30, Tunkhannock, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 12 months to 60 months, a fine of $2500, for the offense of Involuntary Manslaughter, misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Jeffrey Sredenschek of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kunkle following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroe Township on July 14, 2013.
Tahmir Hammond, 25, Williamsport, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 10 months to 60 months and a fine of $500; he will also lose his driver's license for six months. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Hammond following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.
Katelyn Rowe, 23, Athens, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of a sentence of probation to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for a minimum of five months to 24 months and a fine of $500; she will also lose her driver's license for six months for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Rowe for the offense on March 30, 2013.
Michelle Jones, 36, SCI Munsey, Pa., was sentenced to a term in the Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility in Muncy, Pa., for 60 days and probation for a term of 24 months, she will also lose her driver's license for 12 months, for the offenses of Habitual Offender, a misdemeanor of the second degree and Driving under Suspension (DUI Related), a summary offense. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jones following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.
Christine Ierardi, 22, Rome, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, restitution of $300, and Probation for a term of two years for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, two counts. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Ierardi following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.
Michael Moyer, 51, Rockport, Texas, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility from 100 days to 60 months, fines, costs, restitution of $1500; he will also lose his driver's license for 18 months for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Moyer following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough on Feb. 26, 2012.
Rhonda Benjamin, 22, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to fines totaling $500 plus, costs and restitution of $220 buy money, probation for a term of two years, she will also lose her driver's license for six months, for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Benjamin following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.
Shon Saxon, 20, Towanda, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of a sentence of probation to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for three months to 23 months, 29 days, fines, costs, restitution of $300 and restitution of $1000, for the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Trooper Matthew Grebeck and Trooper James Dughi both of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Saxon following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda and Orwell townships.
Shane Kelley, 42, Meshoppen, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of a sentence of probation to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility from six months to 60 months, fines, costs and restitution of $1500. He will also lose his driver's license for 18 months for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Matthew Chamberlain of the Laceyville Police Department arrested Kelley for the offense on Oct. 19, 2012.
Janelle Frantz, 23, Owego, N.Y., was sentenced to fines, costs, restitution of $1000 and $3747.83, probation for a term of 18 months, for the offense of Theft, a felony of the third degree. Officer Eric Keir of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Frantz for the offense.

Robert Coles Jr., Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor.
Coles will be sentenced on Oct. 9, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Corporal Norman Strauss of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Coles following investigation of an incident that occurred in Canton Township on March 12, 2014.
Jesse Johnson, 24, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of
Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Johnson will be sentenced on Oct. 9, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Chief Randy Epler of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Johnson for the offense on Feb. 24, 2014.
Darren Killian, 19, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Killian will be sentenced on Oct. 9, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Killian for the offense on June 9, 2014.
James McIntyre, 53, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. McIntyre will be sentenced on Oct. 9, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested McIntyre for the offense on May 4, 2014.
Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons were recently placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:
Kristopher Reeves, 29, Towanda, Pa., charged with Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Reeves will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Reeves must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Reeves for the offense.
Robert Walter III, 39, Sayre, Pa., charged with Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Walter will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Walter must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Cody Welch of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges on May 26, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.
