Criminal mischief occurs in N. Towanda
Someone recently made scratches on a truck that was parked near the intersection of Patterson and Reuter boulevards in North Towanda Township, police said.
The truck belongs to 32-year-old Walt Bartlett of Norman, Okla., police said.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m. on Sept. 1, state police said.

Dushore woman injured in crash
Donna Lee Lane, 22, of Dushore sustained moderate injuries in a motor vehicle accident that occurred at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday in Dushore, police said.
Lane was driving on state Route 487 when her 2009 Toyota Matrix traveled off the right side the road, struck a stone wall and overturned, police said.
Lane was transported to a hospital in Bradford County for treatment of her injuries, state police at Laporte said.
Stolen vehicle recovered in Towanda Twp.
State police at Towanda said they recovered a stolen vehicle at noon on Sept. 2 in Towanda Township.
The vehicle, which was stolen in Corning, N.Y., belongs to Tracey E. Wright of Corning, police said.

Wysox business burglarized
A burglary recently occurred at Jack Williams Garage on Old Route 6 Road in Wysox Township, police said.
Sometime between 6 p.m. on Sept. 9 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 10, one or more individuals pried open a door at the north end of the garage, police said.
Once inside, they stole approximately $15 worth of change that was located in a small box, state police said.

Sayre man charged with receiving stolen property
Daniel J. Forrest, 24, of Sayre, has been charged with receiving stolen property on Sept. 3 by Sayre Borough Police, Sayre police said.
Forrest was charged after police received reports of a stolen bicycle and that the bike was seen on a porch at a North Elmer Avenue residence, police said.
Police arrived at the residence and found Forrest working on a bike with wheels and foot pegs matching the description of the stolen bike's wheels, police said.
Forrest said another person gave him the wheels and pegs and did not know they were stolen, police said.
Police took Forrest into custody and the homeowner of the residence showed police a shed where Forrest keeps bikes to work on, police said. Inside the shed was the stolen bike's frame, police said.
Police spoke with the person Forrest said gave him the bike, but that person said he "had no idea" what police were talking about and that he never gave Forrest any wheels or pegs.
Forrest has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Oct. 20 for his preliminary hearing.
Route 220 crash injures driver
A single car crash at about 9 p.m. on Sept. 4 on the northbound lane of U.S. Route 220 in Athens Borough injured the driver and sole occupant, according to Towanda state police.
Police said Matthew David Courtney, 23, of Sayre, was heading north on Route 220 in a 2010 Nissan Altima when he lost control of the vehicle, police said.
The front of the vehicle hit the center guardrail which sent the vehicle sliding onto the off ramp at the Pine Street exit, police said.
Debris from the crash flew into the southbound lane of Route 220, causing damage to another vehicle on the road, police said.
According to police, Courtney is being charged with numerous traffic violations for his actions that caused the crash.
Athens Borough and Township police assisted state police at the scene, as well as Athens Township and Borough fire departments, police said.
The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
Sayre man facing multiple charges after assault
Kevin Douglas Learn, 27, of Sayre, was charged with simple assault; harassment, striking, shoving, kicking, etc.; public drunkenness; and disorderly conduct, engaging in a fight by Sayre Borough Police on Sept. 6, Sayre police said.
Police were dispatched to East Lockhart Street in Sayre for a fight in the middle of the road, police said.
Upon arrival they spoke with Learn, who was intoxicated, and several others who said Learn assaulted an underage male, police said.
The victim told police Learn hit him in the mouth and back of the head, police said.
Witnesses could not explain to police why the assault happened, but said Learn was calling the victim names, including racial epithets, police said.
Learn hit the victim then took him to the ground before nearby individuals got Learn off the victim, police said.
Learn has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Oct. 13 for his preliminary hearing.
Monroeton man injured after striking deer with vehicle
Towanda state police said the driver of a 2002 Ford Focus suffered minor injuries after a deer ran out in front of the vehicle at about 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 10 on Berwick Turnpike in Ridgebury.
Shawn W. Dunn, 29, of Monroeton, was heading north on Berwick Turnpike when a deer entered the road, police said.
Dunn was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the left front part of the vehicle, police said.
Dunn was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was taken to Robert Packer Hospital for his injuries, police said.
The Ford was towed by Fulmer Brother's Towing and Dunn was not cited, police said.
Criminal mischief reported in Smithfield
A vehicle was damaged between 6 p.m. Sept. 12 and 8 a.m. Sept. 13 on Rolling Hills Road in Smithfield Township, according to Towanda state police.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
DUI charge
The following person was recently charged with driving while intoxicated in Bradford County:
Alyssa Churee Bennici, 24, of Towanda, by the state police, on Aug. 9, on U.S. Route 6 in North Towanda Township. Bennici had been in a motor vehicle accident that day, and her blood alcohol content was .112 percent.
