Dirt bike

COAL TOWNSHIP - Michael Catino, 45, of Coal Township, reported someone stole his blue and white 2006 Yamaha YZ85 dirt bike from the side of his residence on West Pine Street Monday.

Burglary

ROCKEFELLER TOWNSHIP - State police at Stonington are investigating a burglary that occurred at 675 Twin Hill Road between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 29.

Police said the burglar gained access to the home by using a flat-head screw driver to pry open the front door. Police reported the burglar rummaged through dresser drawers in the bedrooms, but left without stealing anything.

Police identified the victim as a 59-year-old woman.

Drug charges

SUNBURY - Eric Allan Shaffer, 36, of Sunbury, was charged by state police at Stonington with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia involving a Sept. 16 traffic stop at North Fourth Street and Shikellamy Avenue.

Harassment

TREVORTON - Kyle J. Mirolli, 33, of Shamokin, was charged by state police at Stonington with harassment relating to a disturbance at 11:05 a.m. Sunday at 1020 W. Market St.

Police reported Mirolli subjected Rachel Christine Strohecker, 19, of Sunbury, and Devon Beau, 19, of Wiconisco, to physical contact upon engaging in a verbal confrontation.

Route 61 crash

SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - Victor M. Colangelo, 53, of Coal Township, suffered a minor injury in a two-vehicle accident Sept. 28 at the intersection of Route 61 and Miles Road.

Colangelo was treated at the scene by emergency medical services personnel and transported to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, where he was treated and released.

State police at Stonington reported Jay L. Willis Sr., 68, of Sunbury, was driving a 1996 GMC Sonoma south in the left lane on Route 61 at 3:20 p.m. when the front of his vehicle struck the rear of a 2012 Subaru Outback operated by Colangelo, who had slowed down to turn left onto Miles Road.

Willis and a passenger in Colangelo's vehicle, Roberta Lunari, 59, of Folsom, escaped injury.

Willis was cited for following a vehicle too closely.

Disorderly conduct

SHAMOKIN - Kenneth P. Yoder, 64, of 213 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman William Miner for disorderly conduct for allegedly shouting and throwing cinder blocks into a walkway at the residence of Robert and Melody Demshock, of 215 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, at 6:45 a.m. Sept. 15.

Public drunkenness

SHAMOKIN - Patrolman Raymond Siko II cited James D. Houlihan Jr., 22, of 838 W. Chestnut St., Coal Township, for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after he allegedly screamed and cursed at 1:21 a.m. Sunday at Shamokin and Independence streets.

Bad check

SHAMOKIN - Matthew Shackelton, 27, of 838 W. Wood St., Coal Township, was cited by Patrolman Scott Weaver for issuing a bad check totaling $200 to Mother Cabrini Church at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 29.

Multiple citations

SHAMOKIN - A 16-year-old Coal Township male was cited by Patrolman Raymond Siko II for public drunkenness, underage drinking and a curfew violation after being found passed out at 2:23 a.m. Saturday at Third and Arch streets.
