Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:
Culleen Brassfield, 21, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for five months, to 23 months, 29 days, fines of $1,000 plus court costs, for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Trooper Robert Hutchison of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Brassfield following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.
Adam Merkel, 38, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to $150 fines, plus court costs and restitution of $2,438.75, for the offense of Harassment, a summary offense. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Merkel for the offense in June 2013.
Paul Vanderpool, 26, Towanda, Pa., was re-sentenced to Probation Supervision for a term of 12 months, and fines, plus court costs and restitution of $32, for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Trooper Michael Mislevy of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Vanderpool following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroe Township.
Paul Vanderpool, 26, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $300.00 plus court costs, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Trooper Robert Hutchison of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Vanderpool following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Township.
Daniel Grubb, 32, Ulster, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 26 months to 72 months, pays fines of $1,500 and court cost for the offenses of Corruption of Minors, a misdemeanor of the first degree and one count of Indecent Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree.
Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Grubb following investigation of an incident that occurred in Smithfield Township.
Paul Ackerman, 66, Ulster, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for five days to six months, fines of $300 plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Caroline Rayeski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Ackerman following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.
Craig Roote, 35, Horseheads, N.Y., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days to six months, fines of $750 plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Gabriel Paduck of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Roote following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wells Township.
Cody Rosich, 30, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a 90 day flat sentence and County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months (County Intermediate Punishment involves a combination of restrictions and supervision. It may include home confinement, electronic monitor, and substance abuse treatment. Violations can result in incarceration), fines and costs for the offense of Driving under the Influence if Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Rosich for the offense in May 2014.
Joshua Moore, 27, Wysox, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility for 90 days flat, followed by County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months. Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons were recently found guilty in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:
Justin Watson, 34, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and Flight to Avoid Apprehension, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Watson will be sentenced on May 7, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Watson for the offense in August 2014.
Terry Murray, 49, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to two counts of the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, both misdemeanors of the first degree. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department and Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Murray for the offenses on Dec. 16, 2014 and Feb. 16, 2015.

Bonnie Stack, 52, Waverly, N.Y., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Stack will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Stack must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and she will lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police Department filed the charges on Dec. 12, 2014 for the offense in Athens Township.
Jennifer Olmstead, 34, Nichols, N.Y., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Olmstead will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Olmstead must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and she will lose her Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Police Department filed the charges on Jan. 24, 2015 for the offense in Athens Township.

Whitney Kipling, 27, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 45 days, followed by County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months. County Intermediate Punishment involves a combination of restrictions and supervision. It may include abuse treatment. Violations can result in incarceration. Kipling also will be sentenced to fines of $1,500, plus court costs, she will also lose her driver's license for 18 months for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer George Nichols of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Kipling for the offense on Dec. 3, 2014.
Andrew Ciardi, 37, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days to six months, fines of $750 and court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Officer Nathan Ross of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Ciardi for the offense on Dec. 2, 2014.
Armella Jackson, 31, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 11 days to 12 months, restitution of $1,635.90 plus court costs, for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Jackson for the offense in February 2014.
David Conklin, 25, Ulster, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for four days to six months, fines of $1,000 plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Conklin for the offense in November 2013.
Breanna Herman, 21, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 12 months, and fines of $250, plus court costs, for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Herman for the offense in October 2013.
Raymond Richlin, 28, Tunkhannock, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of Probation, to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, and a fine of $250.00, plus court costs and restitution of $7,921.75, for the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Trooper Michael Moser of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Richlin following investigation of an incident that occurred in Standing Stone Township.
Dennis Douglas, 35, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to six months, fines of $1,000 plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Jeffrey Creedon of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Douglas following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Borough.
Brian Johnston, 33, Woodward, Okla., was sentenced to imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 12 months to 60 months, fines of $2,500, plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnston following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.
Wurt Brown, 71, of Rome, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 32 days to six months, fines, costs, restitution of $750, he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Brown for the offense on May 22, 2014.

Scott A. Perry, 48, Clarks Summit, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Perry will be sentenced on June 1 following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Kyle Gruber of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Perry in Standing Stone Township.
Sara Ann Brown, 33, B.C.C.F, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree and Endangering the Welfare of Children, also a misdemeanor of the first degree. Brown will be sentenced on May 28, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Caroline Rayeski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Brown following investigation of an incident that occurred in Leroy Township.
Edward Howard, 48, Towanda, Pa., entered a guilty plea to the offense of Persons not to Possess a Firearm, a felony of the second degree. Howard will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Deputy Brian Wilbert of the Bradford County Sheriff's Department arrested Wilbert for the offense in October 2014 in Litchfield Township.
Rex Peters, 25, Wysox, Pa., was found guilty of the following offenses after a non-jury trial. The offenses include, Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor, Driving while Operating Privilege Suspended or Revoked, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and Driving Unregistered Vehicle, a summary offense. Peters will be sentenced on May 28, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Robert Richter of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Peters following investigation of the incidents that occurred in Wysox Township.
Michael Walter, 22, Laceyville, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Walter will be sentenced on May 14, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Christopher Schelling of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Walter following investigation of an incident that occurred in Tuscarora Township.

Ramon Cruz, 42, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Cruz will be sentenced on May 28, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Cory McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Cruz for the offense on Jan. 4, 2015.
Michael Rinebold, 48, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to two counts of the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, misdemeanors of the first degree. Rinebold will be sentenced after a pending a S.I.P. evaluation, and also, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer John Fedorchak and Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Rinebold for the offenses on Oct. 8, 2014 and Sept. 20, 2014.

Jason Bergquist, 30, Sayre, Pa., charged with the offense of Simple Assault, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Bergquist will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Bergquist must perform 40 hours community service. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department filed the charges on Dec. 16, 2014, for the offense in Sayre Borough.
